i have 6 month old shiztzu and we will be atking him to a vet to be nutered, and i wanted to know if his personality would change. he likes to play rough and its to play with him will he be diffrent after he is nuterd?

I'm not scared of holding her, but really do not want to be bitten in the face, or this to continue, especially since the average adult is from 8-12 ft. I've had her for 1 year. My other snakes, ball's haven't ever bitten me. I've increased her feeding to a jumbo dead rat every 10-14 days, do you think this is too long of a waiting time? How often should I be holding her to reduce this behavior. She's a keeper, like I said I just don't want a face bite, and I want my 4 year old to continue to be able to hold her with some pre-cautions of course.

my neighbor claims there's one that lands on the roof of his next door neighbor each morning lately. supposedly, she has two chicks who she nudged off the roof to encourage them to fly. is the guy delusional or what? really would like to know. i live in central new jersey.

I got a Savannah Monitor last saturday. I have two general information questions to better help me in caring for it.

1) How do I tell what sex my Sav is?

Kinda important when finding a name.

2) Signs that my Sav is stressed or uncomfortable?

It seems very alert and curious of it's surroundsings. Wanders around it's enclosure several minutes before finding a nice spot to sit and bask. When I reach inside the enclosure it watches my hand, does a little hissing and has darted at my hand. BUT no biting all bluffs and trying to scare me. However once I pet it a few times, and give it a chance to smell me then it will allow me to pick it up without a problem. Once in my hand it'll squirm a bit, then will rest in my hand for over an hour. While there it is very alert to its surroundings always looking around and seeing what moves, whos talking and who is closest to it, and only tenses up and squirms a tiny bit when it catches a glimpse of my dog. It seems comfortable and happy.

My large dog (German Shepard mix) eats too fast, we feed her about 2 cups every morning, and she attacks the bowl and finishes in about 10-15 seconds. I've heard this can cause twisting of the stomach, a serious and sometimes deadly condition. How can I slow her down?

My comet goldfish, whom I have had for 4 1/2 years is sick & I'm afraid I might lose him.I know he has internal parasites,which I'm treating him for,& have been for awhile.
His tail & fins are turning blackish,& have been for a couple of weeks.
He started to act unenergetic about 4 weeks ago,but then recovered for a few days about two weeks ago.He started acting this way right after I did a complete water change.For most fish I would say thats the cause,but Alfred,my fish,has had complete water changes many times without any trouble. In fact, I think he enjoys it.
After a few weeks sitting on the bottom all day,he started floating vertically on the top and sucking air.I aerated his water for him,& right after he went belly up.He flipped back over after a few seconds & went verticle again.Afterwards he acted a bit more perky for half a minute than returned to the usual verticle.
He also lost a few scales,I don't know if this is related.
Any ideas what's the matter with him?A Cure?

Ok, my dog (a 10 lb. short hair pekingese/chihuahua mix) was neutered about a month ago. Since then we have noticed that while the sack is gone, he still appears to have his "balls." They are high up near the shaft of his willy. Also, he's still getting very "excited" a lot, and stopping that was the main reason I had him fixed in the first place.

I'm just starting to worry that they didn't do the surgery right. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Last week I posted that I had toxic levels of nitrates in my tank and it was recommended that I do a water change until the levels are ok. I changed 40% of the water last night. I used the gravel vacuum so I know I stirred up a lot of bacteria. Should I wait this out and let the bacteria settle or should I do 25% water changes every few days? I have 3 fish in a 45 gallon tank. Thank you

my male cat had a trist with the neighbors female cat and ended up having kittens. Ironically the night we found out was the night before Bo's vet appt to get snipped. We ended bringing home the little guy that we call Roach. Will he play dad with the little guy???

But they said to bandage them up on the hurt paw?

I've had a freshwater snail, not sure the exact name, the shell is a pale yellow. It's in a 10 Gallon Tank with a few other fish, had it for about 3 years. Noticed over the past couple of days, it just lays on the bottom of the tank, it can go on the glass, but then it falls down, it's not all the way closed, but it's not active like it was. When it's on the bottom, it tends to lean to one side, almost like it can't move itself back to normal position.
The shell is a little damaged in a few spots from falling, actually heard it hit the rocks one day-OUCH!
What might be happening to it? Is is possible that it's dying?

so i have an 11mo aussy. i know its not the best idea, but she and "daddy" play rough. really rough. like he'll smack her around and toss her in the air. she loves it tho and knows its a game, but she gets soooo loud with her growling. BUT, i attempted to do this with her, i cant make myself smack her around like he does, but i'll push and chase and bop her. but she WILL NOT GROWL AT ME. she just never has. i just thought it was because she doesnt like to play with me that way (i always get the toys instead). but if "daddy" and i are wrestling with each other, she knows that if he holds me down she can chew on my feet and make me squeel (or licks my face until i drown). just wondering why this is a game, but i dont get the same reaction wrestling with her as her daddy does. he has her all day every day, i just see her all night.

hi there, my brother has a male 3 year old cat which is very affectionate but also very territorial and he lives at my parents house, and he adores me. I´m planning on getting a cat for me, I spend weekends on their house constantly and I don´t know what´s better for me and the cat, if I get a female or another male. I hear that females are less affectionate and not as loyal as male cats and as in for my brother´s I´m afraid he will become aggressive if I get a male cat because they would be both territorial even if the new one is a kitten, so this is my dilemma, if anyone has an opinion it will be very appreciated.

last night my 6 month old choclate lab was hit buy a car nobody saw the car that hit him i took him to the vet and spent $260.00 that i dont have on x-rays and found that his thigh bone is broken in half and he needs surgery to fix it the problem is that the surgery can range from$800 to $4000 and i dont have any money and i feel pretty stupid even thinking of putting him down over a broken leg he is such a great dog if i had the money i would fix him in heart beat but were having a very hard time even paying our bills and our credit isnt that great, i dont know what to do.....

Please explain the relationships between them. I need to know where to buy these items. I have aquarium salt so if it is either rock salt or sea salt i figured i wouldn't buy it so that's why I I asked if aquarium salt is the same. Could i find it in a walmart or target?

I see this in Answers quite a bit about a Tri Colored Paint. I have owned Paints for over 20 years and never seen one that had three colors on it's body (but that does not mean it does not exist). Are you refering to a bay paint? Black legs, brown body, white spots, black mane and tail? Can some one please clarify this for me? Or send me a picture of one?

i was out on a walk with my dog and all of a sudden the dog started talking to me. he told me he wanted hot dogs but i cant eat hot dogs. he forced me to go to the store so i did and then the cashier made us get corn dogs. then he forced us to eat them. i need a way to get my money back becAUse i need it for tomorrow. someone please help!! thanks
