Breeders are responsible for 80% of the pet overpopulation and do not contribute to any spay and neuter funds. Pet overpopulation cost US taxpayers millions of dollars a year. 4-6 million animals are euthanized a year because of lack of regulation on Breeders.

For the reputable breeders here, who actually spend the time and money on testing your dogs... I've been researching this and I am curious to your choices and opinions on this...

Which test do you use and why do you use it?

Do you feel that each one offers slightly different information and so do you do both?

What are the pros and cons of each?

I have recently got a new glass aquarium for my gerbils as they made such a mess when they were in a normal cage but there is nowhere to attach their wheel of a water bottle. Any ideas?

I found a great deal.

There is a guy selling a 40 gallon aquarium, only a couple years old, with the oak cabinet, for only $100!! Everything is included, including the fish! Gravel, homes, plants, filter, thermometer and heater, etc. We have made a point to purchase it from him (found it in a local classified ad magazine online) on Friday. He says he is selling because he has to move and he has to be out by the 27th.

This is a great deal, right?? He has fish in it right now so there are no leaks. He said we may have to buy a new filter, tho ($20). I already have a 10 gallon aquarium with a rainbow shark, platy, otto, and a dwarf gourami. He said he has mollies and guppies and neons mostly.

Is there anything that I shoudl be wary of when buying it? How should I go with the transfer of my fish into the big tank with his fish? Should my tank be transferred into a "hospital tank"?

Please give me any feedback you have, it's very welcome!! =)

I have had him 3 days now, he suddenly stopped eating his dry food maybe at 9 last night, and hasnt touched it yet today.

He threw up about 2 hours ago a few times at different times. He hasnt ate anything we have seen, and he has been around us the whole time he's out of his crate.
He's been warmed up to us since yesterday, and isnt nervous about his new home any that I can tell.

Any idea's? And I am going to call the vet if he doesnt eat after his nap...just thought someone may have some opinions:)

They will eat rosie reds and small gold fish, they will not eat hot dogs flake food red meat these have already been suggested and tried. They are now 4 to 5 inches long and doing well, but I can't keep enough rosie reds and small gold fish in there, Larger than a inch and a half rosie reds or gold fish they just kill, and causes a constant watch to clean uneaten foods out for fear of bacteria.

I helped a lady who had too many cats. Her landlord was going to call animal control on her, and then they would have put the cats to sleep. She brought 3 to my house and I told her I would help her find them homes. I have been trying to find them homes for a week now. And not a single one has been adopted. I am moving in a week and also have 4 cats of my own so I cannot keep anymore. I am going to take them to a non kill shelter now but I feel horrible. Anyone know someone who would want a sweet cat? They are all three so sweet. Any suggestions?

I have learnt a lot more about cats just from the answers to common questions about cats on this site - things I kinda "suspected" before and things I did not know yet. For example, the cause and sgns of diabetes in cats. Now I can take steps to prevent it from developing in my cats. I think Yahoo answers is real handy this way.

So many say they can not afford a trip to the vet. Don't you all realize that a routine vet trip really isn't that expensive. Your pets need their shots.

My son found a stray dog about six months ago. I think it was only maybe a month or two old at the time. Is it ok to get her fixed now so she can't have puppies or should I wait until maybe in the spring??

most of the time they really aren't doing those things. they just want to get a rise out of people and they get lots of enjoyment out of seeing all those answers calling them names and stuff. if nobody posts anything to those questions they will probably stop appearing and we can all be happy here!
