I have recently got a new glass aquarium for my gerbils as they made such a mess when they were in a normal cage but there is nowhere to attach their wheel of a water bottle. Any ideas?

You can buy one with an attachment that goes over the edge and buy a round, clear , ball you can put them in to exercise. That is what we did. Check out the local pet shop.

they make bottle holders that hang on the side of an aquarium. you can get them at grocery stores or discount stores. just be careful that the lid is on tight! gerbils are great escape artists.

wind some thin wire round the bottle and then hook it over the side of the tank, you may need some a little thicker to support wieght of wheel but just try and see.

first of all if it has a screen on top make sure u cut a hole the size of the bottle and put a paper clip through the little hole on the bottle so u can tie up on and will stay put. make sur eit isnt very deep of a tank tho.

i used a wire coat hanger and shaped it into a hook (like a "v" but the ends folded over the cage with a very strong elastic band .. when i kept rats.. that or one of thos sucker things you can buy for the tank from a pet shop.

they sell specific kinds that hook over the back of a glass tank... you just have to look at the back of the container it will show you if you can or cant, or ask some one at a pets store, they make them, i just had to buy one a few days ago for our baby rabbit.
