I'm impressed by how many people love cats and care for them. Keep up the great work!

I have learned that most people do not need to own a pet. If your first thought when your pet gets ill is to ask here then you have a problem.
Your first thought should be call a vet. I am sure that for 99.9% of you it's a free call.
If you don't feel you can afford a routine vet visit and shots then don't get an animal. Most clinics can direct you to a low cost vet that can help you out if necessary.
Most vets will set up a payment plan for those emergency cases where the pet needs treatment and you just don't have that much money.
I guess what I am saying here is, if you can't afford it don't get it.

i havent learned any thing in yahoo persay well not about cats but i agree that yahoo is a verry helful tool i dont think ive ever had a quesstion that i asked that i didnt get a good answer for but if your looking for tips on cats i have a few kitties like dog food but the dont prefer it to their own and they shouldnt eat dog food it gives them intestinal problems anouther is when your 8 years old you should never ask you older brother to "baby sit "your cat he WILL hide that cat from you and tell you it died and then offer funeral survices for a small fee ofcourse
never assume a declawed cat cant hurt you they still have teeth and last but not least this ones sad but true never put a collar on a small kitten if the collar is too big give it up and dont "adjust" the color to make it work the kitty will get hurt

I've had cats for many years now and I never realized that most of the cat food has corn or corn products in it and that it is keeping my fat cat fat.
(And yes, he has been on weight-control food, in controlled portions and yes, he does get exercise and he still didn't lose weight, but the brands I had tried all had corn in them.)
I'm now trying a non-corn cat food to see if he will lose weight, otherwise, he will be retired from the household pet cat show next January.

After the kidney failure element you ought to aim to be very gentle along with her. and you may % to furnish her moist food because of the fact dry food clogs the intestines making it worst.additionally provide her greater interest so she feels maintain around you and so she would be able to have faith you into looking after her. wish this facilitates! =^^= she would be able to stay approximately 3 greater years if she nonetheless has kidney failure. If she would not then stay a chuffed life with ur cat. ^^

I learned that string hanging out of a cats butt is not a good thing and that it can get wrapped in their intestines and kill them. By the way Fudge is okay. Thanks everyone.

To stop your cat from coughing up a furr-ball, I tape some sandpaper on my tongue and help the critter out.
