I have had him 3 days now, he suddenly stopped eating his dry food maybe at 9 last night, and hasnt touched it yet today.
He threw up about 2 hours ago a few times at different times. He hasnt ate anything we have seen, and he has been around us the whole time he's out of his crate.
He's been warmed up to us since yesterday, and isnt nervous about his new home any that I can tell.
Any idea's? And I am going to call the vet if he doesnt eat after his nap...just thought someone may have some opinions:)

He was at the rescue for almost 2 weeks when his ex-owner brought him in, due to lease arrangments. They had him away from other dogs for about 10 days they said, due to not knowing if he came in with Parvo.
Got his shots for everything, in fact, he has the last set to get in 1 week.
We havent had any prior pets that would have had parvo either.
I called the vet, they said to wait a few hours.
So, he was at the rescue about 3 weeks before adoption.
What does bile from dogs look like? It was kind of greenish one time, and clearer like water the other, But thats probaly because he hasnt ate in 12 hours

UPDATE:
Took him to vet shortly after the post.
Not Parvo, or worms, thank goodness.
No fever or anything, they gave me some med to help with the barfing and an antibiotic for whatever (there cant be an infection with no temp.) reason, and rehydrated him so he doesnt become dehydrated from not eating/drinking enough.
What a big sigh of relief, he should be doing better tomorrow they said

when dogs throw up, that's just not good. id say you need to take your dog to the vet asap. Ive had two dogs that, one got parvo and one got kennel cough. there both really really bad and dogs can pass away if you don't get them treated right away. good luck

My six month old westie is not fat nor has puppy fat, but as veterinary nurse I know she perfect in every way shape and size. I would give treats only after she's has been offered fresh food. Beagles generally have excellant apetites, that said they are naturally lean dogs who are easily prone to obesity. If you puppy is Bright Alert and Responsive, with nice pink gums and sparkly eyes. Try not to worry to much. If and where possible hand feed her if she'll let you. And remember this your vet will not sedate an animal unless they are confident that the animal is healthy. Your vet clinic may offer a free puppy nutritional consultation with a qualified veterinary nurse. Regular weighing at the vets will also give you an idea of weight gain (this should be free of charge) Royal canin is a good diet for your dog to be on as long as she's on a puppy formulation. My pup is currently on a switch over from Iams small breed puppy to James Wellbeloved Puppy/Junior. Isn't being a puppy owner like being a mum, i worry about millie all the time. Good Luck!

Sounds like he may have parvovirus which can be deadly to puppies... if he has had his vaccines, then it may not be parvo but should be taken to a vet. If you notice really stinky, bloody diarrhea then thats what it probably is. Try feeding him some sugar water, so that way he does not get dehydrated. Here is how to tell if the pup is dehydrated... pinch the skin in between his shoulder blades and if it stays pinched then he is dehydrated and should be seen. Also look at his gums, and inside his ears, if they seem to be more on the whitish side, then he is pale and definately needs to be seen. I advise that you take him to a vet. If you got him from a pet store, then thats why he is probably sick. My puppy was anemic and was very sick for a week after I got him from a pet store and was admitted to a vet clinic 2 days aftyer i got him. Pet stores usually get their dogs from puppy mills which is awful, and I'm glad I know that now. I hope this info helps :) If it is parvovirus make sure you disinfect everything that has come into contact with the puppy.
Try feeding him some plain white rice or bland boiled chicken with no seasoning.

How old is this pup? Where did you get him? Does he eat fast? Is he current on his shots?
It could be parvo, but it could aslo be a number of other things including eating too fast.
Best bet would be to contact your vet and ask to come in today. Even if it isn't something as serious as Parvo, young pups can become dehydrated very quickly. He may just need something to settle his stomach.
Also, for the first day, I would give him a bland diet of cooked white rice (no seasonings) or some boiled hamburger (again, no seasonings). This will be easy on his digestive system.

puppies can still get parvo after their first sets of shots. The pup does not have to be in contact with any other that has parvo to get it. They can get it just from being on the ground. A bird could of ate contaminated poop from another parvo dog and spread it to your yard or other things . There is a 4 to 10 day incubation period for parvo, but it usually comes with bloody diarreah. (it is a smell u will never forget)
It can also be worms. worms will cause about the same symptoms as parvo only they will want to stay in the water dish. with parvo they run fever then their body temperature starts dropping .
GET THE PUP to the vet NOW.

With Puppy's it's best not to wait. The quicker you can catch something the better. I would run him to the Vet ASAP. In the mean time you can try to give him chicken broth. Also you can try a sports drink or pedilite that replaces electrolights.
Things like Parvo are air born and even if you have been around your puppy the whole time you still take him outside to use the bathroom. You can't control what is in the air. It's only been a few days since you got him so he could have possilbly caught something there too.
My advice don't wait! The Vet is the best way to have peace of mind.

If that Pup has not had parvo shots yet, your Puppy could have Parvo and you will know this because the virus inflames their intestines and they have diarrhea. If this is the case you need to take immediate action now before you Puppy dies. Take a Teaspoon of Clorox and pour it down the Puppies mouth and then let him drink all the water and juice he wants. It only takes one teaspoon thats it. The Puppy will gag and chokeup all kind of white foam, but do not worry, that virus is dead..ya feel me!!
THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
I saved 15 Puppies from my Hound Dog litter when they got Parvo from their Mothers milk. My wife and I had to feed those Puppies by hand and their Momma cried all night out side trying to get to her Pups, but we couldn't let her in and do that or she would infect them again.
Write me if you have any questions. I will do what I can to guide you throught his and save your Puppy and save you allot of money.
Don't worry about the colorx it won't kill your Pup, it will save the life.

How old is your pup? If you have just brought him home from his Mom, he needs to be on soft food, not dry. Try soaking the kibble in warm water for 15 minutes and then offer it to him. If he still refuses, I'd take him to the vet ASAP. It doesn't take long for little guys to get dehydrated. I'd call your breeder for some info as well. Good luck!

Call the Vet immediately.
Those are the signs of Parvo.
It's a very serious disease that kills 40% of the dogs that get it.
Best wishes and good luck.
My dog got Parvo within the first week of my owning her.
She survived.
