Horses vary greatly in height and weight. You can search the internet for breed information, which would provide you with the average height and weight for a particular breed. There is also a chart available that explains how to tell if a horse is underweight, or overweight. If I knew the specifics of your situation, I might be able to help you more.

A weigh tape would be your best bet, you can get them from your local feed supplier. Horses weight can vary greatly even within the breed depending fitness & the indivdual build of each horse. Most worming companies also offer guides for horse weight, as do many feeding companies. I used to use a weigh bridge when I worked at the vets before we operated on horses as this is the only way to be 100% accurate

I don't know where to buy a chart, but you can get weight tapes, put the tape around the horse at the girth area and it will give you an approximate weight, regardless of the type.

The BHS publish one in one of their books, I think its in The Complete Manual of Stable Management. I haven't found an online version.
There are 2 charts, one for TB type and one for other types.
