i have a white german shepherd that is 5 months old. her ears stood up at 3 months, and by 4 that one was leaning too far.

her right ear is leaning over the OTHER way (points in towards the middle of her head). when she lays her ears back, this ear stands up like it is supposed to. its like she has no control over that ear, and it just stands up all the time.

has anyone ever experienced this before with a german shepherd or any other breed that has erect ears? i'm just not sure what to do! i feel like i need to tape it DOWN rather than up!

He wasn't a pet he was a part of her family. He was more of a friend that a pet. She toatally loved him. I don't know if her life will ever be the same again. Please help my bff. Her life is not very bright right now. : (

I would like to get a tropical fish tank, but that sounds like alot of care, Im always "on the go" so I rarely have time for myself, But I want that commitment plus it would be something beutiful to look at once I get home, just sit back and look at my fish tank.

I know it will be hard at first but with your help I can go in with an educated state of mind and know somewhat to look for.

My dogs ears are really itchy. She wines when she rubs them with her paws and when she rubs her head on the floor. The inside of her ear turns all red from the scratching, when cleaning her ears you can hear a liquidy, squishy sound. I have taken her to the vet twice, but they can not find anything they just give her pills for itching. I have even tried different foods if she has food allergies and nothing has worked. Please help!!!

i have already asked this question but I do not think my question was thorough enough,
I have an approx 10 week old cockatiel unable to get out of the nesting box as it is stuck on its back. It just flails around on the one spot with its feet in the air. Is there something I could do or would it be more humane to euthanise it?
I will go to the vet for advice but I live in the country and will not be able to get to the vet for a few weeks.
The bird appears healthy, I think the parents are still feeding it.

what is the best way to introduce them to each other. i have tried putting the cat on a lead but the cat seems to be backing off. it hisses and the puppy dosent seem to be bothered however when the dog went up to the cat the cat lashed out at it dose any one know of a better way to get them to like each other?

I have a 55g aquarium with a variety of freshwater fish (about 20).

The nitrate levels are dangerously high. I've vacuumed the aquarium twice in the past week, and added Nitra-Ban three days ago, but, there is NO improvement.

I took the charcoal out of the filter, because I've been medicating the fish, too.

I can tell this is negatively affecting the fish, but, what can I do to improve the situation right now? My tap water tests fine, but the water in the aquarium is nasty.

Should I empty half of the water out of the aquarium?

I have a 2 year old springer spaniel, he's in great shape but every now and then he gives off a really strong fishy smell. I have no idea what causes it, when you smell him hes clean, I think a little bit of it may be urine but he isnt peeing. Has anyone else had this problem, if so how did you fix?

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions - I have been working diligently to house train my cocker spaniel. She's an absolute delight - very loving with an incredibly quirky, funny personality. But it seems like I need to take her out at least once per hour in order to avoid her peeing in the house. I set up a bell that she has to ring everytime she goes out. She happily rings that bell, but she's STILL messing the house if I don't take her out like CONSTANTLY. What's worse, everytime we visit my parents, she pees on their rug and they're frustrated with it. Any suggestions? Is this normal for an eight-month-old cocker to still have this issue? Thanks a million for any advice.

WE try to vary her diet. She might eat the food( wet food, chicken, etc) we give her at first but she will quickly go off it...she tends to like her dry food but after that you can see she is looking for more because she has gone off her wet food, chicken, etc......wot do i do......????

my 29g tank is being cycled with several zebra danios. it has been almost two weeks and the ammonia level is still at 0.00. yesterday, it was a bit less than 0.01 so i put some bacteria suppliment and today it is at 0.00 again. in order to cycle successfully, does the ammonia level have to be very high at some point? or can i go through the cycle with low ammonia at all times? my other tank had ammonia level at 0.4 and now, no matter how much supplimant or ammonia drop i put in, it will not go down. so i basically failed. i dont want to make mistakes again. please help. what is the whole point of cycling and what is the quickest way to do it?

Everytime we leave, he always pees on the bedding, or the couch. Lately we have shut every door in the house, but he still pees all over the floor. When we are home, he goes in his litter box, which is cleaned every day. I really need a comprehensive solution to this problem. I do not want to get rid of my cat, so please do not respond with that. Is there a spray or method to prevent my cat from peeing everywhere when he is upset or lonely?
