Three months ago I adopted a Jack Russell Terrier mix and he is about 4 years old. For some reason he doesn't associate being outside with pooping! He never pees in the house, infact, he'll hold it and ask to go outside to do this!
He's responded very well to all the other tricks I've taught him, I just can't get him to eliminate outside. I've tried crate training, taking him out every half an hour, giving him all the praise & treats in the world on the few times when he goes outside. If I catch him going inside, I instantly pick him up and take him outside.
I do try to watch him every second, but he's able to leave my sight, poop, and return without my even knowing he left.
I don't know if he just doesn't like going outside, if he doesn't like going on a leash, or just doesn't get the association. He has a sister who is completly potty trained. Please Help!

And, please, no ignorant "rub his nose in it" or other stupid borderline abusive answers.

Our son was at the table he dropped a cookie and the puppy, who was standing by the chair, claimed the cookie as his. Our 3 year old went to get the cookie and the dog bit him. He had to have a stitch on the eyelid and their was some contact with the eyeball not no permnant damage was done. The dog has become food aggressive and we are not sure if we should even consider keeping this puppy. We have 2 other children in the home and are worried that they could be bitten also. We wanted a family pet, and right now we DO NOT trust this dog.

Teh kids and I had our new pet mice out on the couch to play and try to name them, the little white one slipped into the hide-a-bed couch, I put her friend back in the cage and took the couch apart, she was nowhere to be seen! Directly under the couch in a heating vent, that is the only place she can be. Does anyone have any ideas on getting her out? I live in a 1 story modular home so all the vens run under the house, it is also winter here 30inches of snow.... I would love to get her back before she dies and starts to smell... Thanks

I got a friend who has a red fox as a pet. Found it as an injured pup a few years ago on his property in the country. She's a great pet, very friendly and super intelligent. And my friend is wondering about how to go about breeding her. Seems not too many people keep red foxes as pets. Any ideas?

My dog is one and a half years old. She is an American Staffordshire Terrier. This will be her first litter. I have never had a pregnant dog before and am unsure of what to expect.

I keep a number of live plants in my aquarium and although i am quite meticulous about keeping the tank clean, some of my plants (mainly the ones with large leaves) seem to have some sort of black film over them. Additionally, I keep some larger rocks in the aquarium and these too have this black coating/film on them. The castle I keep in there; however, has a green film and appears to be more like algae (which I might add I tend to have a battle on my hands in terms of trying to keep it under control). Is there anything I should be doing differently and/or is there any way to better control this black film and the algea (short of a tank full of plecos)? Looking forward to the responses :)

she'll take food from me if i hold it with my fingertips (the food, not the hamster), but i don't think she's actually tame - shes fine running along my hands, but if i try to hold her like i've been told 2 (firm but gentle) she bites, etc.
