She at times ignores them,then at times kind of dashes toward them when I have her on a lead. It's been 1 week they have been whatching each other.

It may take a while but you need to remember that in one gulp your kitten could be gone, unless you work with your mastiff to accept the kitten. I would recomend if you have a pet carrier put the kitten in it where it is safe from you mastiff's teeth and the let the mastiff sniff and get to know the kitten while both are equally protected from each other. Continue doing this for a few days and see how they react. If all else fails ask your vet if they have any solutions

it takes time. i have an 10 month old puppy and a 13 year old cat. my puppy chases the cat. so does my great dane which is 7 years old. i know for a fact it not always the dog. The kitten taunts the dog to get it in trouble. that is how they think.

a few years ago we got a new kitten and our older cat peed every where and we thought it was the kitten and the older cat kept doing it once she was gone so we knew it was him. now he has stopped.
