One with quality meat as first ingredient, and NO corn or soy.
I would reommend Canidae, Wellness, Innova, Natural Balance, Wysong, or Solid Gold..No decent dog food will come from the grocery store..You can get the above at most local pet supply shops.

The right diet and supplements, along with the right exercise will help you dog get more muscle, but not the way humans do. First of all, feed the right kind of food, one that has enough PROTEIN and fats to ensure that he can get mascular. I feed Canidae to all my dogs and have excellent results. Second, make sure your dog is not overweight, meaning that you can see and feel the lst rib going toward his waist. Muscles only show if you are lean enough. And third of all, if you have the right kind of dog, you can engage in some type of resistance exercise like bangee pulling or pulling a tire with a harness on. I let my dog pull me on a bicycle for 2-3 miles while holding a toy or sleeve in his mouth. He learns to breath through his nose and he is training for endurance as well as muscle. Good luck to you

Nothing will really get your dog more muscular other than taking it for walks daily, about 30 to 45 minutes a day and you'll be amazed within a few weeks the difference. Also, you need to feed your dog a balanced diet. I recommend Eukenuba dog food. Get the right kind based on your dog's size, activity level, ect. I have a regular active German Shepherd and she's 80 pounds, I feed her 4 cups of dry dog food a day. Add a tablespoon of olive oil every other day for their coat and skin. Good luck!

Purina Working Dog Formula is very good. But muscles are built by exercise not eating. Just as in humans, they need a lot of exercise, like running with you or jogging .

High quality, high protien is your best bet. Puppy formulas work well. They are designed for muscle growth. Dog food is one of those things that you definately get what you pay for. I like Iams or Science Diet.

plenty of walking, running and swimming will help your dog get more muscular, i dont think there is really any brand of food that will assist his muscle growth.
i do know that if you put 1 raw egg into his food, this will help his coat look shiney, and give him protein, which is a good thing.
good luck
