We have a Rottweiler puppy and live on a small farm. We want to be able to go on vacation but don't feel we can leave a Rottweiler with a house sitter. Any advice appreciated.

I have a cat that is 17 yrs old- he'll be 18 in Feb. He has had kidney disease for approx 6 years, but until recently has been stable. He has recently lost weight, and is often dehydrated and needs IV's of fluid to re-hydrate. There is no cure, and he'll only get worse, never better. The treatments work temporarily, but need to be ongoing- and they stress him, & me. His quality of life stinks- he sleeps 22 hrs a day, and I am considering having him put to sleep- and the vet supports this. But I feel so so so guilty- should I let nature take its course, or "help" him thru the misery?

I have a small dog about 5 years old and recently she has had a loss of appetite, energy and weight. What could be wrong with her? This has been going on now for almost 10 days. I plan to make an appointment with the vet tomorrow but I would appreciate some insight as to what may be wrong now. Thank you!

I heard people saying that you can't feed a cat any meat that is spiced at all. But now i read in the internet that some salt is ok.

So can or can i not give my cat the rest of my t-bone-steak?

I have had a Chilean Rose for 6 years, and have fed her at random for six years. About every 2 or 3 days I would take a cricket and feed her. She usually eats, and has gone several weeks without eating. She has molted a few times, without a specific pattern to the time between molts etc. About 1 year ago she slowed down her eating, hardcore. I responded by feeding her less often since, she would practically let crickets die in her habitat, before even trying to give them the time of day. My question stems from the concern that my spider may not be getting a steady feeding schedule, or regimen of food. I would like to get some info on, other people's feeding schedules, if any.

We have a very dark brown cat that looks oriental, but doesn't sound it. His mother was a smokey grey shorthair with very feint tabby stripes, but the father was a one night stand - breed unknown. We just want to know what he is!

My mother in law's beagle went into heat and her black lab couldn't get down far enough to reach her so she thought there was no problem. Till she went out and found the beagle standing in a lawn chair and the lab doing his thing! The puppies had to be delivered by C-section and were beautiful. Has this happened to anyone else?

My cat has this ongoing problem; he spends too much time grooming, and as a result the fur on his spine is almost all gone. He is only indoor, with no other living organisms on his body, and the vet is clueless. He only suggests cortisone shots every couple months, but I am hesitant to continue this route. Please let me know if you experienced similar problem with your cat, and if you were able to find a solution. If you are in San Francisco, CA area and have a vet suggestion, let’s talk offline.

Thanks,
Justyna

Over the past couple of days one of my newts has ballooned up to almost twice his size and looks quite disfigured. Does anyone know what is wrong with him or what I can do to help make it better?
