Yes starfish are found in all the oceans of the world. They vary in size and color. They feed on shell fish(Clams, Scollop's, Oysters). They usually have five appendages and move very slow. Hope this answers your question...You can try reading about starfish from books at your local library...

please do not put a starfish in a tropical fish tank.
they belong in saltwater aquariums hopefully you do some research before buying one, they can be very hard to maintain
