Since I purchased my 2 puppies 2 years ago I have read dozens of complaints on line about the pet store and the breeder the acquire their dogs from. The breeder's name is Steve Kruse and everything I have read so far says that he runs a puppy mill in Iowa. If this is true and hundreds of people seem to know it, why hasn't his operation been shut down? What agency do you report puppy mill breeders to? The online complaints about Happiness is Pets and their primary breeder, Steve Kruse are numerous. Happiness is Pets is located in Naperville, Downers Grove, Orland Park, Arlington Heights, Warrenville and somewhere in Florida. All of these shops use Steve Kruse as their primary breeder. With this many shops selling thousands of dogs bred by Steve Kruse you would think that something would have been done to shut down all of these operations. What does it take to initiate a thorough investiagation of these pet shops and this breeder and put a stop to their businesses?

I bought a baby on October 3. He was about 2.5 weeks old when I brought him home. He is fully feathered and pecks at seed and eats pleanty of mellet spray. I offer carrots, corn, lettus etc.. He still screams to be hand fed. Is this normal? I am afraid he isnt getting water. He climbs, perches and flaps his wings happily. But ever time he seems me, he starts screatching for food. What do I do, is it to early to stop handfeeding? Am I spoiling him? How can I be sure he is eating and drinking properly? If I continue to fed at his becking call, will he eat on his own? If I discontinue food, will he starve or dehydrate? He is in a cage with my older tiel, he is doing great, seems to know how to climb all over the cage and reaches tall perches. I have fed Kaytee Exact. He appears healthy, I just dont want to loose him, or spoil him. Please any advice would be appreciated.

I have $120 to spend on the puppy, I already have a food dish and name tag. I am planning on getting a body harness and a retract leash thingy. I don't have to pay for the dog, dog food, or the vet bill (wee!), but overall what should I be buying? I am probably going to get a female, the one closest to the camera.

My dog has seriously fallen in love with a dental bone. He worked at it for like 2 hours straight last night, and has worked at it a bunch today as well. He bleeds though. My husband thinks it's like flossing- if you haven't done it in a while, your gums bleed because you needed to floss. Is it the same with dogs and bones? If we give him bones more frequently, will the bleeding stop?

Ok i have a 10 gallon Guppy fish tank.i got it from my science teacher like 6 months ago, b/c it was the end of the school year, and i had wanted them so she gave them all to me. they were fine for a while, untill about 2 months later, they started finally having tons of babies(as guppies normally do, i guess)but after that, the female mom(or what i would guess would b the mom) would die a few days after, and every female would die not long after having babies..so now i have like 10 males and 2 females and like 20 babies...also i have like 10 baby snails recently, but that doesnt really have anything to do w/ it...i know i should have about 20 females, and as soon as i can afford to get that many females,i will. but i dont know why the females keep dying?..i have had another fishtank for like 2 yrs before i had this one, so i do know how to care for fish.the males are doing ok, but the females just keep dying for some reason and i wasnt sure why.i dont treat them any diferent. well thx

He is normally healthy and when he got up this morning he coughed a little and gagged like, never has happened before. He then went out and drank water, ate and was fine. I was gone most of the day, my dad said he was coughing and gagging some throughout the day but not a ton, he fed him dinner at about 5pm and ate ok. He was gagging again and has thrown up 3-4 times since 6:00. He is throwing up food and mucas, whitish foam.drinking ok and acts ok, but then just starts gagging and throws up.current on shots and has not been around any poisons or chemicals.he has been grouchy for the last few months, like he growls at me two year old if he disturbs his nap or something.don't think it connected but not sure now. Any advice?

2 yr old lab - breeding dates 8/20 - 9/4. We've had her to the vet last week - as we've had 2 temp drops to 98 - but then a return to 99 - 100 temps. We had to change vets recently - so I don't have the confidence I had in our prior vet (lont time doc for our dogs) -- anyway - x ray on 11/2 showed 5 pups. She has had full teats since 10/28 (over 2 weeks). The vet told us to just 'let her go, she'll probably deliver by the weekend - she won't be too far past what her due date should've been" -- She still shows no signs of labor whatsoever - in fact, I'd say her vulva has become less soft then it was before. The only changes we have noticed is she has vomited about twice a day over the last 3 days and she takes her back leg and scratches at her head (like CRAZY) - OR - she chews at her legs. This is her first litter. I'm just wondering if my 'worry' is justified or is this just a side of whelping I've not been exposed to? Any help or thoughts will be greatly appreciated!
