I enjoy working with animals, and I have a big heart for them. But I dont just want to take them from someone just to give to SPCA and never communicate with them again.I dont know where to go with this. Anyone?

where i live lots of vets are looking for kennel help, also you can try looking at your local pet stores, like petco or petsmart. there are many places you can go volenter at also. many shelters and rescure groups are always looking for people to help out.
your local zoo might have a volenter program you can join also.

Actually animal control officers don't just go up and take peoples pets. They are removed after several warnings to correct the problem. The only time they are removed immediately is if they are running loose, or is in immediate danger from cruelty.
Look into zoo keeper
Volunteer at your local nature center (This is really fun)

k, so try pet walking/ sitting, it sounds realy stupid & stuff but you would be surprized how many people need to find bingo or kitty a place for the weekend or something.

you could try becoming involved with your local zoo...most take volunteers but there are professional paid zoo keeper roles.......

how bout a pet groomer..or pet sitter..you would have recurring contact with the pets..
