I have had a dog for one week. She is a Shar Pai and was a stray from the pound. She is an absolute dream when we are home with her. We started crate training the second day we had her. She goes totally nuts when we are not home. she bent part of the cage and also made so much commotion actually slid the plastic bottom of the cage out of the cage entirely. it is only when we leave her alone that she has these issues. Is there anyway to calm her down? when she goes to sleep for the night she will remain in the cage with the door open and not have any issues since we are sleeping in the room with her.

when people spin around and around we get dizzy, can't wait straight and sometimes even fall down. I have watched my dog chase her tail several times for atleast 45 seconds to a minute at a time and prance away with no problem. Why is this?

I live in a small apartment in a busy metropolitian. I'm looking for a small low-energy dog that doesn't require a lot of maintenence. It is necessary that the dog doesn't bark excessively. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

Anyone who can help me with this problem! My cat just insisted on peeing on the sofa. It is driving my husband and me insane.
I know that my cat will probably repeat this over and over again.

I realize that you can NEVER get rid of the smell...but...is there any product out there that can help eliminate the smell as best as possible?? Help! We can take it anymore. By the way, we DON'T want to get rid of the cat!

Thanks!

Specific breeds that are good for beginners, terrestrial vs. aquatic, how to care for them, if they make good pets...anything would be appreciated.

Is this possible and if not what else could it be. It's very sensitive to the touch, meaning my baby yelps when I gently touched it She's tries to poop but either she doesn't have to or this thing is totally blocking the way. Some liquid has come out like she has diahrrea.

Before anyone states the obvious I know I must take her to the vet but I can't get to one until in the morning and I'm wondering if there is something I can do tonight that may give her some relief. Not to mention I will be going crazy until I get her there not knowing what is wrong with her. So if there is anyone that might know what's wrong please tell me.

With that being said...each time I've asked a question concerning my pups or their mom there has always been this one person who answers me with hateful comments and I just really don't need that right now. Please keep your hatefullness to yourself. Me and my baby only need to hear from those who might can help us get through the night...

I have 3 cats. The 3 year old one is overweight (the mother), her 2 babies (1+year): one of them is ok, the other one is starting to look a little chubby...well she is more towards fat than not fat...

I tried separating them in different rooms to feed them with different kinds of food and different proportions...but they always end up eating each others food...

I tried a lazer pointer toy but the cat that is suposed to run after it...isnt...and the ones that dont need to, run after it....

does anyone have more than one cat and one/some of them were overweight...but managed to help their cat go back to normal weight without changing the diet of the cats that werent overweight?

I have been watching the Fellowship of the ring and my cat who was initially curled up on the sofa, woke up as soon as it started and just sat looking at the screen and started howling. This film obviously spooked him. You probably think this is aload of porkies, but it is absolutely true.

My cat Sam is 17 years old and is usually not very vocal , however, tonight he changed all that by his howling..

Have you a pet that gets spooked by something on the telly?

My boyfriend and I are thinking about getting another pet so our cat has someone to play with when we're not home. The only problem is we want a dog, but don't have a fence. We're not sure we want two cats because when we do get a fence we definitely want a dog. Do you think two cats and a dog is too much for one family? I don't want to be like the crazy pet family!

So from my previous questions, you may know I have 9 cats. Well one of the adult males randomly attacks the kittens. Is this because he feels unloved. Or is this his natural instinct. May I include that he has a missing paw and AIDS.
