What are you talking about? Do you think vets would prescribe Rimadyl so readily if it was killing dogs? Do some research!

Where are you getting your Info? I have a Lab thats been on Rimadyl for years,wthout it she couldnt walk, Its just like anything else ONE out of a 10000 may not do good on it but it helps the rest very much, I keep bottles of it at work for dogs getting over sprains and strains.No drug is GOOD on a dogs liver or ours for that matter..Heartworm killers arent easy on the liver but they beat the alternative.If Rimadyl Kills my Pet I'll be Thankful she lived all these years painfree from horrible Arthritis,instead of suffering needlesly...Do your Homework.Vets WANT our Buisness they arent out to kill dogs!

you are getting yourself over worked up STOP. the dogs that have died from rimadyl have had liver and kidney disease that aided in their death. and other health problems. a vet is not going to put himself at risk and prescribe a medicine that is gonna kill your dog. owner compliance is another issue as to why dogs die from this drug. overdosage issues. beside the dog has to be on the product for an extended length of time for any major damage to be caused. one dose or even 2 doses isn't enough to cause this to happen. this is why you vet gave you 6 pils and dosed her once daily.

Rimadyl is an NSAID. They help many but are not without risk, dogs (Labs especially) and people have died from them.
That said, I did not read your original posting so don't know the details.

First of all, it's Rimadyl.
If I had an animal that was on a medication, I'd first know how to spell it and secondly look into it, and, if I thought it was killing my pet, I would not put another pet on it.
Secondly, maybe it's not the medication that killed your dogs rather than the condition in which your dog was prescribed Rimadyl FOR.
Perhaps you carelessly over-dosed them? Maybe you're to blame here.

It was probably a health condition or old age that caused the dogs to die. The vets wouldn't keep prescribing it if it had caused almost all of the dogs to die previously.

Rymadyl helped my dog a lot. You have to accept that if your dog is 10, she's old for a big dog & won't live forever. When I took mine to the vet, he told me that there were 3 different operations they could try. All were painful & expensive & since he was already pretty old, he advised me to ease his pain as much as I could & let it go.

Rimadyl is hepatoxic. Your vet should tell you that kind of thing before you start. My dog took it for years with no problems, but just like with ANY medication...some will react badly!!!!!

my dog died from that medicene. When a dog is on that medicene it shouldnt be for a long term time, and they blood checks very often. that medicene is super hard on their kidneys and liver. I would never have my new dog on that again and i would never recommend it for anyone. good luck.
