yes! way too soon. puppies need to be atleast 6 - 8 weeks old. they have to be able to eat regular food on their own and you shouldn't start that until about 6 weeks.
breeders won't sell under 8 weeks because the vet won't sign the release to sell before that age.
If , for some reason, you take this puppy at this young age then make sure you get a supplemental milk substitute. you can buy this at any pet store or even at wal-mart.
good luck with your new pup.

A 4-week -previous domestic dog is basically too youthful to be separated from its mom. 8 or 9 weeks is the suitable bypass-residing house time. greater than a number of socialization happens interior the periond of 6-8 weeks. He won't have difficulty turning out to be socialized to human beings, yet he could have issues information different canines down the line. perhaps while he has his photos, you may disclose him to some different puppies. regardless of if, under the circumstances, this domestic dog is larger off. needless to say, the persons who had him are entire morons. a minimum of he's getting fed some nutrition he can relatively eat. Is there any way you will get something of the puppies, and their mom, out of there? perhaps there's a rescue on your area that could convince those idiots to provide up the canines. on the least, perhaps the rescue can get the momma canines spayed. those human beings don't have pets.

The puppy should at least be 8 weeks old before taking it from the mom and litter. The pups learn a lot from their mom and littermates, and taking them to early could result in social, emotional, and behavior problems that will be hard to work with.

One thing they need to learn is bite inhibition, and if you take them to early, they do not learn that from their dog family, and you will bear the brunt of the sharp teeth!

It's way too young. Puppies shouldn't even be weaned until they're 6 weeks old. After that, the next 2 - 3 weeks are crucial for their social development. They need that time with their mother and litter mates - that's the time they're taught how to behave, they learn how hard to bite, they learn how to interact with other dogs.

No puppy should leave before 8 weeks and preferably older.

Yes, 4 weeks is WAY too young. Depending upon the breed.. If it is a larger breed, 6 weeks should be fine, 8 is always safer. And if it happens to be a small breed, a vet will tell you between 10 and 12 is best.

The puppies should stay with their mother at least six weeks. They should be able to eat puppy food before they are weaned. Don't hurry the process!

yes, that is way to early. If dogs are separated form its mother that early it may develop obedience problems and will look underfed because they are at a vulnerable stage and need their mamma's protection and nurture, and milk. A Good time to sell puppies is around 7-9 weeks old.
