She is solid white with one black patch over her eye. I think she looks just like a pirate, thats why I'm thinking of naming her Grace O'malley, after the famous female pirate.I would probably call her Gracie for short. I like Gypsy too though........i just can't decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm feeding my pit bull puppy with Royal Canin Baby Food (large breed), and he seems to be doing great. he weights about 13lbs and his barely 8.5 weeks old. He looks tick 'n has a massive body. Anyways, I've heard people say that they feed their dogs/pups with pedigree and actually get fat or have good body weight or muscles. So I don't know if spending less money on Pedigree would have the same results then the money I spend on a Royal Canin food. I give my pup Pedigree canned food once in awhile though.

My ideal dog would have the physique of a Rottweiler- the size and head shape. With a honey colored light brindle coat- short hair. Mellow personality like a Rottweiler but less stubborn (lol).

Hello,
I have a male westie approx 5 months old. I do not know his exact age since the pet shop owner seemed to lie to me when telling me about westin(my dog's name) age. The pet shop owner said that he is 1 month and a half when i adopted him. His fur hasnt fully covered his whole body but i can see he is already able to run..and 2 months after that, his teeth is falling off. So from my past experience i guess westin is 5 months old by now instead of 3 months and a half.
But the problem is, Westin always peed when i tried to pick him up, when i scold him, when my friends come over and touch him, and when i want to get him out of the crate. I put him in a crate when i go out to class. But everytime i come back, i will find that not only he peed when i touched him, but there are poo remains that looks greenish and soft as if he is having a weird diarrhea.
I had a husky before, i adopt him since he was 3 months old but never face a peeing problem. What is happening to westin ?

She is a very sweet and loving cat. She is very affectionate but a bit shy. She rubs up against me, licks my hands, and meows quietly when she sees me. However, she won't look at me. She'll look everywhere else but directly at me. Is this a submissive behaviour? We have 2 other male cats and she is definitely at the bottom of the pack, the last to eat. They are all fixed. What do you think? Do you have a cat that does this?

Hi! I'm a first-time aquarium owner and I'm trying to learn enough about my fish to keep them happy and healthy. I have read all of the postings concerning the recommended number of hours that the light should be left on. My question is: Does it matter if you leave the lights on during the day or all night? Of course we would prefer to have the light on at night because we can see the fish better but we don't want to leave it on if fish really need it to be on during the day and off at night. I've gotten some mixed responses to this question so any help will be appreciated. Thanks!

My dachshund has been pregnant for 52 days. She has alot 4 full bags of milk, and has been producing milk for about a week and 3 days. She has lost the hair around her nipples, and the skin looks waxy and shiny. Could someone estimate how long it will be before she will have her puppies?

Also i was wanting to know what kind of preperations i should make before the pregnancy.

Thanks

I just want to see the percentage of pugs since I am told I shouldn't breed him becuase it is a hereditary condition. But if this is indeed a common thing in this breed then it shouldn't be so bad as long as the female dog's owner is aware of the situation. I wouldn't mind taking care or finding good homes for any male dog that might be born with the condition.

One of his eyes is swollen shut - the other, he blinks alot. These are the only symptoms of his being sick, he still is eating and pooping regularly. This only happened today, he was perfectly fine yesterday. I read that ornithosis/psittacosis is also called parrot fever and is transmittable to humans and shows up in humans as a flu and/or pneumonia. I recently had pneumonia, so i'm wondering if that was caused by my bird. This sounds very serious, and i'm getting sort of scared. I love my bird, and I don't want to get rid of him, but if i'm putting the rest of the household in danger, i don't see many options. Please let me know what you know about this disease. I've put a heat lamp on him, and i've just recently started using a UV bulb during the day. Please help. :(

I have a 10 gallon aquarium fully cycled (0 ammonia and 0 nitrite with 15% water changes weekly) I have 2 males and 3 females and up til today they were great. Now one of my females (the one I have had for a week and a half has started being afraid of my hand, and swimmin really quickly up and down the aquarium and then hiding in the plants. I have only had fish a short while and don't know if this is normal. Her tail is also swishing very fast and when she rests she kind of lays against the plant on her side...What is going on with my guppy?

My husband and I bought this stuff on the internet called "Scat Cat". It seems to be working for keeping him out of areas of the house we don't want him. He is still persistent when it comes to not listening to us. How do you handle this?

The Rat Terrier is a hunter. The cat was my dad's and needs a home. I am hoping they will get used to each other but I am afraid because of the Rat's breed and the Cat's hunting nature that they will end up seriously hurting one another. We tried the dog on a leash and then let him go. The cat is now hiding and the dog is going crazy sniffing trying to find her. It is almost bed time and I am afraid to sleep if they get at each other in the night. I do not have areas where I can close doors and keep them in separate rooms.
