Chocolate is very dangerous for dogs. Some dogs love it, but it can make them very ill and some have died from eating it. I can't recall which type of Chocolate is the hardest on their systems; but, it would be in your dogs best interest to refrain from all chocolate and possibly all sweets. Ask your vet about doggie diabetes and you will have second thoughts about indulging your pooch with your own favorite vices. Stick to meat treats or doggie veggie treats from the store. There are also recipes that you can get to bake doggie cookies with ingredients that are healthy rather than harmful to your little tail wagger.

'Chocolate contains theobromine, a stimulant related to caffeine. While harmless to humans, it is toxic to dogs. Even with a small amount of chocolate, theobromine will cause vomiting and diarrhea in a dog, along with hyperactivity, excessive thirst and increased urination, a rapid heart rate and excessive panting. These symptoms usually develop in six to eight hours. Kidney damage, seizures, heart rhythm irregularities and even death, in severe cases, may be the result of too much chocolate intake. There is no real antidote for a theobromine overdose. Support and care can be given, and vomiting can be induced if the poisoning is recognized early enough.'

Well feeding chocolate to your dog is very bad. It is a toxin for dogs and has been known to kill dogs and cats. Do not continue to do this and you should take your dog to the vet and have bloodwork done. Tell them that you gave the dog chocolate and that you didn't know.

I've always been told that giving a dog chocolate will make it very very sick, and possibly even kill it. If you dog has estten too much chocolate and is getting sick I would take him to the vet as soon as possible.

Sleepy is what you would call it if you described it to a child - in adult terms it is called deceased!
Chocolate - especially in large doses - will kill your dog. If you have to give your dog sweets then buy doggie chocs. But dont overdo it and feed them heaps of it - everything in moderation applies to dogs too!

you ought to not at all set off vomiting till your vet tells you to, in guy or woman or over the telephone. Peroxide is an irritant to the tummy, it extremely is why you initiate vomiting if it extremely is swallowed, yet once you're making your canines swallow too lots, it may heavily harm him. it extremely is why no person with a suggestions ever shows to set off vomiting without the ok from an approved Vet, back, over the telephone or in guy or woman. Your canines is effective. If she turns into torpid or starts off vomiting for no reason, call your vet and confer with them first. particular your canines is small, yet i do no longer think of that inducing vomiting the 1st time became fairly needed in any respect, as i'm assuming it became Milk Chocolate.
