When I was growing up, I had a dog with seisures. In fact, we linked the seizures to the chemical used to treat our hard wood floors. The reason we came up with that is because after the first dog had seizures....every dog after here at the same symptoms.
When I moved from that house, I took one of the affected dogs with me and his seizures stopped.

I had a Manchester Terrier that had seizures from time to time. All I had to do was calm him down by talking to him and stroking him till he was over it. On the other hand, I just had a boxer x dog that had 1 seizure in his life till this month. He had a growth on his nose that the vet said was an absessed tooth, then 3 months later he had a seizure. 3 days after that, he had 2 violent ones and we had to shoot him. It was too late in the night and he was suffering, we had no choice.

I had a cat once with seizures and the vet. prescribed Phenabarbotol ...not sure on spelling. It has to be the correct dosage and by now, they may have something that works better.
You need to check with your vet. for sure.
