I just got my first Rabbit. It's an adorable Miny Rex. He's orangeish brown and has 2 black stipes acroos him. We named him Casey James after my favorate Nascar driver, I need to know if rabbits can have or need shots like cats and dogs do though. Also, is it safe to let them have small amounts of carrots and lettuce? My cats seem to want to make friends with him but he kicks them. Any tips on getting them to get along? I don't leave the rabbit alone with the cats even for a short time. Can rabbits be litter trained? I don't really like caged animals and feel he shouldn't have to be caged if he can be trained. Harness trained? Any other rabbit care and advice is also welcome.

for instance, if she ducks under the dining room table, and i'm trying to bring her in to the kitchen, she will bite my hand when i reach under to grab her collar. i know she isn't biting full-strength, but nevertheless it can and does hurt. up until now i've been going to "im-in-charge" route, wrapping my hand in a towel and dragging her wherever i want her to go. the same thing happens if i grab her collar to put her in her crate for the night.

the strongarm technique is obviously not working, and shes gotten me good enough to anger me in to holding her mouth shut and shaking her saying "no bite". (it was either that or smack her in the mouth). she really isn't an aggressive dog, and she would never come after me. i guess she just thinks shes defending herself.

do any experts, or hell even any amateurs, have any tips?

shes got a lot of spunk, and even after i say no bite, when i let go of her mouth she goes right back to baring her teeth. (she never snaps at my hand)

I recently read in a thread on here that Kirkland dog food is a decent brand of dog food. Problem is, there is no Costco where we live. I don't think there is one within a 100 mile radius. Is there anywhere else it can be purchased?

I know farmer's do this with livestock and cats, just wondered if you could do it to a dog. Using the elastic band.

My ragdoll kitten is about 5 months old. Each day I have to clean out the corner of his eyes. He gets this build up that looks like a scab kinda in the inner corners of his eyes. We have put him on eye drops but it still forms. I was just wondering if any other ragdoll/cat owners have any advice on this of if their cats experience the same problems. Thanks so much!

He keeps jumping at the top of the cage sometimes hanging upside down. I am going to get a taller one for him in the future but I need a quick fix for now because I do not have the money for it. I have put in things for him to climb on but he ignores them. Also he shed about a week ago and now his skin has a kind of ashy look near his back legs and around his head. He is really worrying me I don't know if he is dry or if he is about to shed again but it seems to soon to be doing that. I try to keep the humidity dry, have a big pool of water for him and have a hot/cold area so I dont really know what i am doing wrong here

I have a neutered male dog approximately 170 lbs. He urinates in multiple places every time I take him outside. I have had several dogs in my life time, and I've never seen a dog go in so many places in one outing as this one does. He is approximately 4 or 5 years old. He is a rescue from the streets. I have had him for over a year now, and he is quite a character. I love him a lot, and I want what is the best for him. I am concerned about him, so here I am asking about his problem. He does not whine or cry when he goes. It is just alot of urine, in multiple places, and he takes a lot of time to do it each time. I'm not sure what would be causing this to occure in him, can some one help me?

My dog rocks! i love him so much. He is just hyper and follows me around the house when I am annoyed. He is sooo loving. And when I am annoyed, he clings to me. But I am pregnant and I just want calm and space. He is yappy and hyper and I sometimes just turn around and snap at him and tell him to leave me alone. Then he sulks away with his tail down and I feel so bad. I want him to know how much I love him, but right now, I just want to be alone alot... How can I give him what I need and give me what I need?

OK, this sounds like a stupid question. But I really do feel bad when I snap at him...

she runs and hides. If she cant hide under a bed she just backs herself into a corner and hisses at him. When I lived with my dad, the cat would sometimes sleep with my dad when I was at work. Only since he attempted suicide has she acted like this towards him. And it is only him, she is a very affectionate cat. Any thoughts?

I took my cat (a russian blue) to the vet about 3 weeks ago...paid $300 for the visit. She told me he may be dehydrated and had a blatter infection. They infused him with liquids...and put him on meds. We just finished his meds...he seemed to be more comfortable (not cured) when on them...but now that they are gone he is back to squatting in the litterbox for long periods of time (with no results) and then we walks off whining. Anyone know anything? Can I fix this on my own...or is a follow-up visit to the vet necessary?
