Pimafix is a good treatment but being a natural product it does get broken down and so needs to be used at quite a high concentration and redosed.

Fungus likes cold, dirty water so if you can raise the temperature and keep the pond clean it will speed up a cure.

Malachite Green has for along time been a popular chemical for fungus. It can be used directly on the fungus or less concentrated in a dip or in the pond.

You can also gently swab the affected area with a 3% solution of Hydrogen Peroxide, Potassium Permanganate or Methlene Blue. These mainly treat the underlying problems caused by bacteria or parasites.

Most of the big brand treatments should work but they probably contain mixtures of the same chemicals I've already mentioned.

It's possibly not fungus, so a broad spectrum treatment may help but generally fungus will take longer than a week to clear.

Well, PimaFix would've been my first recommendation. Didn't work, usually that stuff works great. Maybe it's not a fungus, could be columnaris, looks like a fungus but it's a bacteria. Here's a couple links with more info on it, compare symptoms to it, also has treatment options-usually an antibiotic.

This one it's listed under bacterial external infections.

I was going to say pimafix too, but if it is bacterial try Melafix. It works miracles for sick fishies.
