Yes, it is possible to give your cat the flu or the common cold. While we may be different species, the virus doesn't take into account which species it will infect.
So wash your hands before you pet your cat and handle its food.

If a cat can get the Bird Flu which humans can also get-- then there is no distinction of species regarding viruses!

Nope, cats do not get infected by the same viruses that affect us and visa versa. You can't get sick from your cat either. We are made up genetically different.

No, it's a different strain of a virus.

But, if you're visiting someone with a sick cat, you can carry those germs back to your pet.

no cats can get sick but they contract a virus that is not transferrable with humans. we have our own flu and they have theirs. so dont worry about gotting your puss sick or vice versa.

no, it is host specific. you cannot give it to your cat and you can't get anything from your cat.
