I have a 20 lb 1 yr old Boston Terrier, we are going on our first plane trip together next week. I was thinking about getting a qualude for him, but a friend suggested two tblspns of beer. Is this a good idea? What would you recommend?

I have had her for two months now and she still pees all over the house. She will go outside when I take her and I reward her for that, but it doesn't seem to help. She pees in her cage even though I have it partitioned so that it isn't too big for her, but she pees on her mat. I took that out because I was told sometimes they will still pee since the mat absorbs most of it. I decided to take that out so she just has the tray in the bottom of the cage and I came home twice yesterday during work to let her out and both times, she was sitting in a puddle of pee. HELP!!! Any other suggestions? I am really getting tired of this.

posted recently asking for advice about my border collie pup snapping at us, received some really helpfull advice thanks to all, but one lady did gave a bit of a telling off. just for the record i did do research into the breed, was fully aware of the pros and cons of a border collie and am extremely willing to put in the time and effort, never actually owned a border collie myself so one of the questions that i did ask a number of people who do own them was if they would be suitable for a family, everyone that i asked said yes. Like i said this is the only problem we have come accross, everything else is going really well, he sits when told, gives paw, great with toilet training, spends lots of time around other dogs as most of my family have them no problems so far, also comes with me to work, generally spends most of his time with me. we love him dearly and just want to overcome problems as they arise. thanks again to everyone who gave positive advice.

My 3 year old Pom has been potty trained for 2 years now very well with barely any mistakes. For the last week now he has gone pee on my bed every night while I am sleeping. Twice now he has gone in there right after I let him out to pee on my bed. Does anybody know what the reason may be or how I can break him of this? He is crate trained as well. He stays in there while I'm at work and I really don't want to make him go in there at night too, but it looks like I may have to.

her veggie mix. She saw the vet yesterday, all is well. Still, I can't get her to eat. I've tried to be inventive. Sweet potatoe french toast made with whole grain, a veggie omelet. She picks, but doesn't really eat. I still give her the baby food by syringe at night to make sure she's getting something. There's only one food she really chowed down on, Paella, and I'm not making that every day! And about eggs, I know people shouldn't eat them everyday, same with parrots? Should I leave her in the cage in the morning until she eats? She'll dig a whole to China if I leave her in the cage. Sometimes in the evening she fights the baby food as well. I want to make sure she has a full crop when she goes to sleep and I want her to eat a good breakfast as well. I feed her at 5:00pm and 8:am. A piece of fruit or raw veggie during the day and an almond. What am I doing wrong? How can I get her to eat? So many questions, so little characters available!

Me, my dad, and my sister are moving to a new house away from my dad's OLD evil girlfriend. I am only 12 years old and my dad said that we can get a kitten when we move. He said that we can get one by next Wednesday, which is is a week. But, I have NO clue where to find one. I also would like to find an adorable kitten name. I'm trying to think of female names because I don't want a boy. I was thinking of these names:
Skye
Topaz
Ellie
Tanzie
Baby-I would call her "Baby Girl"
Opal
Can you PLEASE tell me if you like any of these names? Thanx a bunch! I really like Tanzie or Skye.

My cat (meg) has a daughter (bubba). Bubba gave birth to 5 kittens yesterday, because it was her first litter she seemed to be having a little trouble. Meg seemed to sense this and began to clean bubba and the kittens, Bubba didn't seem to mind. Meg had her 3rd litter about 4 months ago...so my question is, is this normal cat behaviour or is Meg going to try and take Bubba's kittens from her.

i have 55 gallon tank w/ bala shark, columbian catfish, 4black skirt tetras, 3sunset Gouramis,1 dwarf gourami, and 2pink gouramis. i mentioned earlier that i have a knife fish which is about 5inches in length. Now, i've seen some couple of white spots on its fin, after that, i made a 25% water change. However, the spots on the fins just rotted. but, now theres more couple of them "tiny white spots" on its fin and body. He's the only with the "spots", others don't have one. I'm thinking it is ich disease. What do you think could it be? i'm not sure if its fungus or something. I'm really worried about it, and i don't have any idea how to treat it. since i only have a 55 gallon, and i don't have a quarantine tank. Most likely, do u think the the whole 55 gallon tank is infested now? what should i do?

My cat has recently started aggressively hissing at relatives whom he has not hissed at before.

Should I be concerned that he may have been harrassed/abused by the cleaning ladies my wife and I sometimes use (while we are at work)

We were told they were pet friendly but we don't have any cameras to monitor this for sure.

We did have one incident in late july when a cousin came by with his girlfriend and their child - and he did hiss at the child - who was being over agressive with him - so we repremanded the child and seperated them both.

Could this hissing be a hold over from that.

If so I'm not so concerned but is there a way to help the cat re-adjust to the relatives again?

I'm referring to a puppy (cocker spaniel) that my brother-n-law purchased from Sellersburg, Indiana, it recently died of parvovirus. She was diagnosed with parvo just two days after she was bought. The breeder claims she contracted the virus being on his truck since he's an over the road truck driver. Can this happen in just a short time? Or is she lying to cover her butt and not take any responibility? Can we sue her? Is she liable?

I have two Plecostomus that are 7.5 inches long. I know Plecostomus are tropical fish, but they were doing fine in a tank that was in the low 70s/high 60s. Recently I decided to replace my two-year old Oscar and am going to get one today; I keep my house at 68* so I decided to introduce a heater and put it at 79* for the Oscar. I would expect the Plecostomus to be fine in it being tropical fish, but over night one's started to develop fin rot.

The PH is fine, the ammonia levels are fine, it's a 55 gallon tank and I let it sit for a month before I introduced any fish to it... However, one has two holes with the circumference of a tooth-pick.

Any idea why they are developing this?

Are they just used to the cold?

Anyone know their ideal temperature range?

I was at a wedding this past weekend, and got bit by a German Shepherd in the neck. I went to the hospital and had to get stitches. I have no idea if this dog has rabies or not, but the police department said that they were going to get the dog and quarentine it for 10 days. Its an outside dog, and we were going to send the owners of the dog my medical bills. So far they have been really mean. They never asked if I was okay. They just b-ched at me and said what the F*ck were you doing by my dog. Also you better not sue us because we know where you live. etc....How common is it for a dog to have rabies? What should I do about this?
