I have a 10 gal aquarium on an old vanity (like 4 years old). I have not gotten the table wet (i think) but it seems to be bowing in the middle. It's in my b-room, so should i move it out or just get another table, or is it fine where it is? The bowing isn't bad, i just noticed it, it's been there for 2 months.

I heard that mounting a horse without a mounting block is bad because when you grab the mane and put your weight in the stirrupot twist the spine and over time it's horrrrrrrrible for the horse.Unless you can get on with out putting in weight in the stirrup(equivelent of mounting bareback) then it's bad. Isthat true.????

I recently purchased a crowntailed betta fish about a month ago. He started showing signs of boredom and was nipping his fins, so I decided to get him some stimulation and bought an african dwarf frog. They both have plenty of room in their tank , but I am afraid for my frog's health. My betta has never shown aggression until now. He is constantly flaring and nipping at this poor little frog every chance he gets, and I'm afraid I will have to separate the two. I was told that they were compatible tankmates, but I guess I was proven wrong. Will my betta eventually calm down and accept my frog as a tankmate? Or is he going to keep this behavior up? I really don't want to have to separate them, but I don't want anybody to get hurt. I've had this frog for about 2 weeks now and lately only within the past few days has the aggression been getting really bad. My frog has some hiding places and stays on the bottom of the tank, but I'm still worried. Is my betta going to shape up?

Get ready for the main event. My girlfriend's chiuhauha, HiJinx, will be over this weekend. Coincidentally, I will also be watching my neighbors cat - Ms. Kitty. Though I am not setting up a formal brawl, I do expect that there will be several occasions where they go a few rounds, especially since neither is well adjusted. Here are the players:
HiJinx - 3 yr old Chihuahua - bad attitude - wearing the red diaper
Ms. Kitty - 6 year old cat, does not play well with others. Siamese - no claws - wearing no shorts.
I will have my popcorn ready - who do you think will get the upper hand. What do you see happening?

I have a 3 yr old Chihuahua who I have been leaving home for 9 hours each day while I work. I know she can hold it that long, but I don't know if that is more than most people leave there dogs without a potty break. I KNOW! Don't tell me I need a walker. I can't afford one. How long are dogs ok to hold it at one time? How long are people leaving their dogs while they work w/o a potty break? I feed her all her food each day in the evening so she will have less food in her while she waits all day.

Is okay and safe to shave a cat bald? this is not a dirty joke I promise, I cannot get rid of her fleas I have tried sooo many different things and nothing works. She demands to sleep in bed with my daughter and I don't want fleas in my daughters bed. Every time I give her a bath I notice she is infested, she is an inside cat and always has been. I have never seen a flea in my house, ever, but I think they come up through the carpet and she is a long hair cat. What would happen if I shaved her??????

My 10 gal in my b-room is filled to the brim and is on this old vanity that I've had since i was 12. I was looking at it this morning, and i saw that it was bowing (bending) towards the middle. It's been there for 2 months, and i don't think that i have gotten it wet, but should I move my aquarium anyway? I still want to know how much it would weigh?

My dog and cat have never been left alone and I am hiring a pet sitter for an upcoming weekend. I am interviewing three. What should I ask them? Should I go with someone who will stay overnight in the house with them? Or, just someone who comes several times a day? What are some lessons learned from your experiences? What should I look for? What should I watch out for?

I lost my cat a few weeks ago and haven't found her. She had a unique personality-- she hated everyone but me. She would scratch anyone who I didn't like and who she thought might hurt me. She left her 1 1/2 year old son, and now after spending time with me petting him, he's slowly becoming more and more just like her. He comes to me when I just stretch my hand out, while the rest of my family has to go to HIM. (Yes, I live with my family, I am 13)

My almost year old puppy doesn't eat very often at all. She eats maybe twice or less a day, and at odd times, like in the middle of the night. Is this normal or does she not like her food?

Also, we changed her food about a week ago, and in the past week she's vomited twice. Could this be due to the change in food? Thanks!

The dog has always barked at us when we go out to the car or into the yard, which I hate because it is a boxer and is loud, but it also scares my grandson who lives with me. Now it is much worse because the new homeowners put up a privacy fence and the dog goes more berserk as it can only see a sliver of us through the fence slats. I am tired of it and they have heard us tell the dog to shut up and they do nothing.
Their dachsund used to pick up trash that had blown into our yard and they would then throw it into our fenced back yard like we had thrown the trash in theirs, so they are not going to be cooperative -- please don't tell me I should talk to them.
I want to know if a dog whistle blast every time that dog barks at us would possibly work?

There is a male cat in my neighborhood that has been left off. I'd like to adopt him but he sprays like crazy! Would getting him neutered be a remedy?
