I've only seen a picture of one.

Found a link.

It even has a video clip, 4MB, 2 minute download?

We also have one, maybe it's an Elk... but Deer Land here in Bemidji, MN has an albino deer/elk.

Any animal (or person) could be albino.

The problem with albino deer or any other hunt-able creature like that is they can not do very well at hiding themselves. When a predator looks into the woods and sees a great big white object the dinner bell starts to ring in its head and that is the end of the albino. Those albinos also have problems seeing in daylight so albino deer have another handicap.

Unless some zoo raised one, no albino fawn is going to get old enough to be noticed as a full grown animal.

Yes there is such a thing as an albino deer, they are all white with red eyes. I live in the country and we had one hang around our farm for about a year. Its against the law to shoot them

Yes there are albino deer.
There was one for years that became quite a legend. It lived by the Meramec State Park in Sullivan MO. After a few years people thought it was a old folk tale and simply dismissed it until it was brought in and tagged. They are real. And even though, naturally speaking, they are sitting ducks and albino's don't see very well and are prone to illness. This deer was big and healthy.

Yes, there are many albino deer in central New York kinda near Penn Yann. We see them fairly often when driving through that area. They're rumored to have resulted from the radioactive weapons and tests on the army base there. Here's some info on them:

"The Seneca Army Depot in the state of New York is home to the greatest known concentration of white whitetails, also called "ghost deer." Established in 1941, the Depot is spread out over approximately 10,000 acres. It is all fenced and human access is strictly controlled. In 1951, the deer herd at the Depot was approximately 400. Records show that one white deer was seen that year. By 1961, there were about 7 whites on the army base. By 1967 the number of white deer was over 100. Today of the 400+ deer on the base, over half are white. It is believed that many of the white whitetails in captivity today can be traced back to the herd at Seneca."

They exist, but they are rare.

Albino deer aren't a species as such. Rather, they are deer that make no pigment whatsoever, and so have white fur and pink eyes.
