I lost my cat a few weeks ago and haven't found her. She had a unique personality-- she hated everyone but me. She would scratch anyone who I didn't like and who she thought might hurt me. She left her 1 1/2 year old son, and now after spending time with me petting him, he's slowly becoming more and more just like her. He comes to me when I just stretch my hand out, while the rest of my family has to go to HIM. (Yes, I live with my family, I am 13)

Cats have personal prefrences just like you. Can you name at least one person you know you just don't like? Un less he's being teased by you're family members he should calm down. DON'T force it on him.

Cats seem to setup a 'Most Liked' list amongst the family members. There is one person they especially like (for whatever reason) and the others in the family are below that. Do you feed and clean up after the cat? Sometimes if you are that gives you preference points. I don't know why this is so.
(I've had or been around cats all of my life. I have had the same experience you've had time and again.)

People ussualy think of cats as stupid animals, although they cant really think they do have feelinngs. So i guess that when she was just a little kitten , im sure u allways played with her and stuff thats why she knows she can trust u. I cant explain why it wants to scratch ppl that it thinks might hurt u, it might be because maybe u speaking loud to the other person(cats have good ears). Well thats what I think good luck in finding an answer

usually the mother kitty has to move out of her kittens territory, when their kittens become adult cats - like in this case the male son has reached adulthood. that's why is not a good idea to keep the kittens specially if your cats are allowed to go outside. you're probably the only one in your family that socializes with your cats take care of them such as feeding them, and cleaning their litter box, that's why your cats love you the best.
if you look for the mother kitty about a couple of blocks away from your home i bet you'll find her.

Cats have a sense that tells them whom to protect and he has picked you now that your protector is missing. It's said that each animal picks a favorite and they do what they can to protect their favorite. You must me a wonderful person for him to trust you as much as he does.
Good luck with finding your missing cat.

You probably have a personality the cats can identify with. You are the "chosen one". heh-heh Either that or you're non-threatening and the cats see that.
Hope you find your kitty!

Because you feed your cats catnip?
BTW, don't bother checking out the site mentioned by the person above me - it's in a foreign language and looks like Dungeons & Dragons or something like that.

Cats are very much like people. when they lose someone who means a lot to them they tend to kling to someone that makes them feel good. maybe this cat understands that his mother liked you and feels better having you there as a mother figure or friend.
