I bought a gold fish, b/c i was given an aquarium. How long do i have to wait til i put the fish out of the bag and into the water? Dont i have to let the back of water sit in the aquarium before i release him and if so for how long?
Another q, i have an algae eater, not sure if thats how u spell it....he is in a bowl, my friend gave him to me, how do i get him use to the water as well?

There is black furry looking algae growing in my fish tank. Anyone know what this is and how to get rid of it? I have algae eaters, but they won't touch the stuff.

her claws!When they get clipped they seem torn or they're not in one piece. She meows/cries like she's and im wondering if there's anything wrong. Her claws don't seem to be bleeding. Anyone has any experience with how the cats claws are suppose to look like? Could it be that they're torn bc she scratches? (even though she doesn't scratch that much). I've changed the clippers twice already!

I have set up a fish tank for about 9 days now. I keep reading things on fishless cycling, but I can't wait that long to buy them. The buyer that I want to purchase them from is only availble today. Will the fish end up dying if I get them now and my tank hasnt cycled fully? (I am not gonna buy a test kit, so don't say to go and buy one) I'm done spending money, ive spent over 200 bucks. I added a bacteria supplement and water conditioner. The filter has been running for about 9 days as well. I also bought used decoration for the tank and cleaned it well (im hoping this will contain some good bacteria to speed up the process?) What are the chances of the guppies surviving if I buy them today?

Please help me, I kinda raise box turtles and seems to have no luck lately with getting them to hatch outside :( I dig up the egss and they are empty with little pin holes in them where bugs and worms ate them I guess! Soooo I want to try and Incubate them in the house hoping to have better luck, but I don't know anything about Incubators!
What kind would I need for box turtle eggs? And where would I find one? Thanks...

Say he falls out a window and gets hurt. No crime has been committed and it's a holiday or late at night so you can't swing him by the vet could you call 9-11 and they'd sent somebody over to save him from dying or tell you they cannot help you, 9-11 is for humans only?

she has only two accidents with me, I had her for 2 weeks. One was total nerves, when I tugged her collar she peed. The other was my fault for not getting her out in time after the night inside. She has been at her new house for a week and she apparently goes pee outside, then comes in and pees on the carpet. She is having non stop accidents. She is a very nervous dog anyway, anyone have a suggestion of how to deal with this?? She is so sweet, I feel so bad! Her new family is fed up and if I cannot help them rectify the problem, they want to take her to the shelter.

I have a puppy of 4 and1/2 months female. Should she be spayed at 6 months, if I am not letting her have puppies and should she have one season first? Or is it better to let her have one litter of puppies ?

I found a dog that dident look like it was well taken care of and it looks like an expensive dog, but full of fleas and all matted, no tags, no collar. I think I may have found the owner, but I dont feel I should give it back because shes looks mistreated. Should I give her back?

I have a 14 year old male German Shepherd MIX. last week, he started showing signs of weakness, especially when I took him on walks. He couldn't make it very far. In retrospect, he was having black stools. He was eating and drinking (and he does eat lots of red meat), but started vomiting occasionally.

Two nights ago, he had a bout of EXTREME weakness, and vomiting. I took him to the vet, and they did a CBC. His hematrocrit was ridiculously low. An ultrasound and x-rays were done, and nothing unusual was seen. The vet suspected a bleeding gastric ulcer, and gave me medication to treat that at home.

The next afternoon, my dog had a seizure, urinating on himself. I rushed him to the vet, thinking this was it for him. I am having a hard time letting him go. The vet noted that his hematocrit was even lower. They transfused him, and gave him steroids, for he kept vomiting all night, and this morning seems to be MUCH better. The vet suspects Autoimmune Hemolytic Anemia.

I have a young female Cat named Church who hunts field mice she brings them home drops them in front of me Church also leaves her dead Mice at my porch door too and I'm getting tired of finding these half decaptitated rodents in the morning.
