her claws! When they get clipped they seem torn or they're not in one piece. She meows/cries like she's and im wondering if there's anything wrong. Her claws don't seem to be bleeding. Anyone has any experience with how the cats claws are suppose to look like? Could it be that they're torn bc she scratches? (even though she doesn't scratch that much). I've changed the clippers twice already!

You need to get special kitty clippers with rounded blades. You're using flat blades that are splitting the nail. Your kitty is feeling like you feel when you cut a nail back past the quick...it hurts her, and that's why she's crying.

There could be a couple of things going on. Some cats get stressed out when they get their nails cut, so she may be crying from that.
When you clip them just make sure you don't get too close to the quick (pink part at the bottom) because that's when bleeding could happen.
Also, it's natural that they look "torn" because the outer nail sheath does kind of come off in pieces sometimes, especially when they use them on the scratching post.
You could always check with your vet about proper nail cutting, and maybe they can recommend good clippers for you.

awwwww!!!!poor kitty!!!!!!!!!! Well, obviously it hurts her if she's crying. I honestly don't know the answer you're looking for. But if I were you I wouldn't trim her nails until I saw the vet and asked him/her what the problem is and what to do about it. It seems like your clipping them wrong!!! Be careful and don't hurt the kitty!!!! :)

I have never clipped a cats nails before. Usually they were themselves off by the cat scratching.

Get clippers that look like this:

They are curved so the nail doesn't split.
