A "black panther" is nothing but a melanistic color phase of leopards or jaguars. Cats of all sizes are built to eat meat and nothing else. They are carnivores. They will eat you.

Finding this question in the "Pets" section makes the hair stand up on the back of my neck. If you are nuts enough to try and get one of these animals as a pet, and ignorant enough that you don't even know what they eat, you are courting disaster. Read my lips. These. Animals. Are. Not. They are carnivores really and would eat anything they are powerful enough to overpower. Usually hares, deer, any animal and will attack bigger animals which are weak, sick, dying like most other carnivores.
