Leave the goldfish in the bag for 20 minutes then let him go.
Put the algae eater into a Ziploc bag with his water and let him float for 20 minutes, then let him go.
Good Luck

You have to let the bag of water get to the same temperature as the tank water, lay the bag unopened on the top of the tank in the water for about a half hour before tipping the whole thing into the tank, as for your algae eater, put him in a bag with water out of the bowl he is already in, then do the same for him as the goldfish.
Also you should have your tank up and running for a week before adding a fish to it, only add a few at a time, this is so you build up friendly bacteria slowly and don't overwhelm your tank and kill the fish. Good luck!!

Each fish in the bag that they came in. Or a clean bag with their water out of their bowl. Float the bag 20-30 minutes. At the 20 min mark add some of the aquarium water into each bag. At 25 min do this again. And at the 30 minute mark place the fish and the water in the aquarium.

You should let the bag float in the water for one hour, to let the temperature adjust. Every twenty minutes, let a bit of your tank's water into the bag so the fish can adjust to the specifics of your tank slowly. Same for the algae eater. All water put into the tank should stand for 24 hours to let the chlorine in it evaporate (I know they sell stuff to do this but I never liked the idea of using one chemical to get rid of another chemical. I would suggest immersing the whole algae eater bowl into the new aquarium to seed it wtih beneficial bacteria that will convert fish waste (ammonia) into nitrites, and then into less harmful nitrates.

I would leave both bags in the water for about 20 to 30 minutes. Fish could suffer from shock and die by the temperature change if this step is missed. Another thing is when emptying fish into the water make sure you add some the water that was in their bag. Good Luck.
