ive had him over 2 years, he is about 3 years in age. when i got him he easily adapted himself to being 'potty trained'. he had his little corner basket where do to his belongings, and its been like that all those years. however in the past 3 months he's gotten the mood of peeing in different spots in his cage whenever i clean it, he ends up making a mess and leaving the bad odor, i try to scoop up the pebbles in the spot where he peed and dump it in the little corner basket and then he begins to kinda go to it and use, but in random moments he just does it outside.

what am i doing wrong that makes him do that?? he is out of his cage 24/7, he goes in and out as he pleases, he was neutered long time ago, and he eats like he always did.

what could be the reason he does this?? ive tried buying a new little basket, but no difference.... help! this is getting really frustrating!!

I need to collect a urine sample from my cat, and since I have 2 other cats, I locked the one in a room with the litter box (and some food and water, of course). That was 10 hours ago. He hasn't peed yet, and I feel bad keeping him locked up. So I'm just curious how much longer it might be.

I have a new puppy and she likes to bite. This isn't painful biting, or angry biting, but I do want to stop the habit before she grows up when biting could cause serious injury.

About 2 months ago, I got a 5 month old Daschund/Beagle mix. It only took one accident in the house, and going outside to get him housebroke. Over the last couple of weeks he has started to use the bathroom (voiding and deficating) in my 5 year old daughter's room. We take him out frequently and even in the middle of the night and he goes in the yard, then comes in and goes in the bedroom too-we are giving him time to go and doing what we should; and we watch him pretty closely. He still manages to get in there and go. Any suggestions as to why this might be happening and how to fix it? One friend told me to put ammonia on the "accident" and rub his nose in it, but I am afraid of the physical damage that may do to him. All I can think is he is doing it out of spite for some reason. HELP!!!

I need to know how long these things can survive out of water as my dorm will only allow me pets that, like fish, die pretty fast once they escape.

I have a 5 year old female. I just got a 10 week old male. My female dog is afraid of the pup. There is no aggression, but she runs to the other part of the house when the pup comes out of the kitchen. Last night when the pup cired himself to sleep, she laid by the dog gate until the pup went to sleep. There is interest, but a lot more fear. What has anyone done if you have had this happen. Both these dogs will be house dogs together for years to come and I want to help my female over come her problem.

Okay I have a shih-Tzu/poodle puppy, she is the worlds cutest puppy but she STINKS!! We usually bathe her with this oatmeal shampoo I don’t know the actual name of the product but it doesn’t seem to do the job! After we bathe her and brush her hair she still stinks! Should we switch shampoo? Or the method in which we bathe her (in a bucket) Or should we use a condition on her? She is only 12 weeks old.

he is a Springer Spaniel, and since we have had him he has only been on his own for about 2 weeks (where we are out at work) then due to operations and ill health he hasn't been left since.
Due to my operation i have been off work for 3 months and am due back to work next week but even when i just nip across the road for a coffee you can hear him barking and howling. I only work for 4 hours but am dreading leaving him, 1) cos of the neighbours, 2) cos i know what he will be like and its upsetting to know he is like this and 3) i don't know if this will harm him.
I have tried leaving the t.v on and the stereo but its like he barks over the top of it (however loud they are) Please help cos like i say i am dreading going back to work Xxx

I have little flies the size of a pin head flying around my hamster cage. I have a gerbil and another hamster, but the flies aren't at their cages, only the one hamster. I cleaned all the cages on Saturday, like I always do. I noticed yesterday morning flies at the one cage. I cleaned the cage right away and gave the hamster a bath. I put fly paper above the cage. When I came home from work last night, the fly paper caught most of them but there were still a few flies left. I've had the hamster for over 2 years and nothing like this has happened before. What should I do? Are they going to harm my hamster? I don't think the hamster even notices them, but I feel so bad for my hamster!
