my sister's cat has a wet but. I asked her if it sat in water. she said no. so i asked if the cat was licking herself a lot. she said she didn't know.

it could be a urinary tract infection. Maybe she is having a problem with incontinance or a hard time holding her pee and is leaking a little. If it continues, you should have your sister consult a vet. It could be kidney or bladder stones as well. Those will cause incontinance as well.

If the cat sat in the sink or tub, it could have a wet butt, which she would then groom.

I'd say, if it isn't dry (and stays that way), by this afternoon, she should have the cat checked to make sure it doesn't have a urinary tract infection. You're observent, so keep an eye on her.

yuk oh my goodness check her for worms, i think its the licking but its ugly and something in the back of that cat is not a happy camper i would take her to a vet to be wormed tested

try to clean her up and if the wetness is still there then take her to the vet directly

if it is constant, take her to the vet, it implies a bigger problem
