Obviously a lot of people think so - the books keep selling - but I disagree.
I find that he really talks down to the reader and has no respect for the children reading his books. He feels that the readers must be extremely ignorant because he is constantly defining even the simplest words. I find his style insulting to children and disrespectful of his readers.

Wow, Better pick up the pace as Book the 13th comes out October 13th (which is also a Friday).
Book the 10th got a bit hard to follow at times, but was still entertaining
Sadly, when Lemony released an adult book, (and by that I mean a book geared towards adults) he got hammered by the critics

The series regarding the Baudelairs has ended with the final e book, "the tip". Lemony Snicket has an fairly unique variety of writing. I used to examine the series yet i've got come to realize i'm no longer able to take all the melancholy and cruelty.
