We have a new border collie puppy, about 3 months old. She's a very smart dog and has learned "down" and others. However, when you want her to come to you, she very often will just turn and go the other way. I am not sure what the best technique, given her age and breeding, would be to get her to obey this command. This is a new problem for me.

My elderly next door neighbour has an old king charles spaniel and at the moment it is on antibiotics but it wont take the pill in its food and it is nearly immposible to give straight in to its mouth. Please help............

Just wondering, because of questions where a person cannot afford to take their pet to a doctor.
Are there alternative, inexpensive options, such as government sponsored animals clinics, or NGOs?
What about shots, such as rabies? Are there places where you can take your pets to be vaccinated for free? Or spayed?
Just curious.

I have 7 week old puppies. The have been very healthy and then I noticed a flakiness on their skin. Very fine almost like dandruff. At first I thought it was sand, then, at closer look I saw tiny white bugs. The bugs had a bulb of a body that was white or transluscent and then a small brown area...the body I guess. I have never seen a bug like this before. These white bugs cluster around the ears and folds and are horrible to comb out...like combing out lice. There are also eggs that are much bigger than lice eggs or flea eggs. Can anyone tell me what these bugs are. I would hate to bring something into my home that could affect our upholstry, or children, or cause the puppies any sickness.

why does everybody hate them? have they ever dont anything to you? If not maybe you should go meet one, the are the best dog that i have ever had, the pitbulls that i have had needed help and i helped them and then found them a good home, so stop thinking that they are bad just because of there steriotype, the are really super great dogs, i wouldnt trade mine for anything in the world, if any body in kent,wa has a pitbull maybe we could get to gether and have our pits play together and then they might have some play mates

I purchased a silky terrier on 9/6/06 from a breeder she told me I would receive the AKC papers in the mail , after 45 days of waiting the papers did come however, she failed to fill in all the spaces she was to fill in yet she managed to black out the box for limited registration which means i can't breed her or put her in shows. Neither of which I am interested in. I am a responsible pet owner that doesn't agree with overbreeding but how dare a breeder tell me what I can do with my dog when she is breeding, selling, and collecting money from an unsuspecting true silky terrier lovers to build a pool in backyard

i was wondering what if i caught a bass or a catfish,even a bluegill all less then 4 inches...do you think i can put them in my tank with some cichlids(oscars,,jack dempeseys,texas) tank is 60 gallon and my fish are all small.....but will they get some kind of sickness from a fish from the lake. let me know please..i apreciate it...
