My animals are infested in fleas! I have tried frontline, advantage etc and nothing seems to work. My home is infested the yard is a sandlot so they are coming in on peoples feet/animals when they go out to potty. I don't want to use a chemical bomb because I have a 6 week old baby in the home. Please help!

My friend is really worried, she said she was cleaning the pigs cage and she found a tooth, it was a back tooth, not a front, i found out that ginea pigs teeth can fall out if they chew on the cage bars alot. So i told my friend this, and she said her pig does chew on the bars alot. But after thinking a while, how could the back tooth fall out if when isnt it the front that are usually chewing on things? Could her ginea pig be sick? She said the same thing happened to another ginea pig she had and it died soon afterwards. Thanks for any help.

Mom died but 2 days before she did Millie the bird mentioned a name of a person several times who would be at the funeral that I've not seen in years .. Millie does not even know them either! When I came home she stuck her head real close out of cage and looked at me in sympathy and moaned like weeping because I was so hurt with mom gone.

I have a 55 gal freshwater tank. My red devil fish Lou who's occupied the tank for 8 years recently died and now I'm wondering what to replace him with. I've had most fresh water fish that I'm interested in and now am thinking about changing that tank into a salt water tank for a change. Is this expensive to do? What do I need to do? Are salt water tanks really that much more work than fresh??

I was the one who asked what kind of dog to get while i am in college...but some of you answered why not get a cat...so now i want to know which is the best for a college person who still lives at home and has the whole basement to herself...cat, dog, kitten, puppy? i feed my kitty mainly science diet and authority, with some friskees and whiskas as well, since the other two brands are way expensive... he eats purina kitten chow dry food when i'm at work. he also gets catsip milk once every few days (its milk kitty's can digest) as a treat.

I have a 5 month old kitten who won't stop trying to nurse. We got him from the shelter, and he was 9 weeks old, but already in a "kittens only" cage with a bunch of others from other litters. I don't know the age he was origionally taken from his mother, but it was done before we got there. When we got him home he continuously came to us to try to nurse - earlobes, fingertips, anything that was the right size. Since we thought that he was taken from his mother too young I let him suck on my pinky finger and it made him happy, even though he never got milk out of it (obviously) we have tried a bottle but he does not like it, he will only lap at it like a fountian. Now he's older and we can't get him to stop. If I don't let him suck my finger (and I don't let him at all anymore) he will "nurse" on a blanket, pillow, or sometimes on his own fur (he's long hair). He has plenty of healthy kitten food, lots of water, and a kitten that is a few months older as a playmate. Any suggestions?

He is bonded to me and won't let my bf hold him...but for some reason he likes tol talk like him. We go him together about 2 years ago. He will sometimes talk like me but very rarely. i just thought they would talk like the person they love the most. I talk to him all the time. Oh and also he talks all the time when it's just me and some girlfriends and he is very quiet when he is in the room? WHY?

As many of you know I had a tank with 20% if its water missing yesterday for a good four hours. When the water came back on I let it run for 2 min I filled up the tank and used aqua-safe. This morning one of my swordtails is hanging out by the heater and her fins are clamed when she does move i can tell its shimmy. I've vaccumed out the tank changed 20% of the water and added quick cure. Is there anything else I can do?

I have heard that there are certain breeds that can be very stubborn about this....dachsunds for one thing. Does anyone know anything about this? And if so, what other breeds are like this and why?

That being said, I know someone with a dachsund that is around 5 years old, still not very well potty trained. She pees in the house even though she is crate trained (although if she is still going in the house, I don't know if you can exactly say she's crate trained...) and even though she is let out every 2-3 hours. We know that It's not a health-bladder issue so what is the problem?

Ok I have two kitties...they are 4 months old but the take up the whole bed...my husband is ready to kick them off the bed for good...Should I just get a bigger bed or kick the kitties off. But I figure that either way they are going to continue to sleepo with us...Any Advice???

Sometimes my cat will go in the bathroom, jump up in the sink and start yelling. When I go in there to see what she wants she just sits there and looks at me. I leave the bathroom, she starts yelling again, I go back in the bathroom and she stops...Why do you think she might be doing this?
