My husband and I would like to start our own rabbitry. We're located in Northern Wisconsin. We just sent in Membership Dues to the ARBA and are waiting for a reply. In the meantime, we already have 2 pet rabbits. 1 Netherland Dwarf, and 1 Lionhead. We've owned rabbits for about 2 years but never thought about breeding. (Most were rescued rabbits) Where is the best place to get breeding stock? What should we look for in the breeding stock? I have many more questions, but this should work for now. Thank You in advance....

a small dog don't shed i already have 2 dogs tahst the family dogs they are big they were so small when we got them now they jump aroudn to much so when they die lol i hope soon cause i want a dog that stays small and cute taht doesn't bite help me pls

If it claims to be genetics, shouldn't there be research and data...
I can't find any data on crosses/breedings, especially with many intermixing colors and I keep finding flaws with Jim Sonnier/Dr. Gene Lucas and All About Betta splendens.

Examples:
If blue/green/iridescence is all controlled by one type of pigment cell shouldn't iridescence only show itself with blue and greens fish?
Is it possible to have a cambodian with melano fin color if the fish has two copies of the recessive for each trait? How come we never see this, especially since people claim that the cambodian gene modifies black cell pigment?
Why is it assumed that the two non-reds, yellow and orange, are controlled by different genes instead of being different alleles of the same gene?

Any intelligent speculation on any of these questions is appreciated. Thanks.

i have a 6-month old puppy that is and australian sheperd//mini poodle mix. she has long wavy hair. but as i noticed, she`s starting to have alot of white hairs coming out of her tail,face,and body !

Can I put cotton balls in my hamster's cage or is that not safe? Or what can I put is his cage for bedding and or mix with her normal bedding?

What types of human food can I feed my hamster? Like fruit, veggies, etc.

i have been posting questions since last week about my kitten...she had jaundice and had to be put to sleep after only having her for 4 days...the shelter gave me a new kitten and i was really picky about this one...he is 100% healthy except for Coccidia...which the vet found yesterday on a rutin check-up...they gave me meds for him (thick yellow liquid)....im paranoid now that this is going to make him sicker even though he has none of the signs for Coccidia...should i worry or is he going to be fine....they say he's almost 4 months old now and very healthy...help

Why do I have to seperate my male and female baby swordtails (fry) at four weeks of age? Is it so they don't mate with each other? Also, the biggest fish in my tank right now is two adult swordtails, each about 2 inches long. How long will it be until the newborn fry will be able to be put in the show aquarium with the adults without fear of being eaten? Also, how big do the fry have to be?

Hey everyone,
Here's the story: My 5 year old male cat used to urinate around the house to mark his territory, once we had him neutered (3 years ago) he totally stopped doing that and used his litter box only.
About 4 months ago he developed a problem with his urinary tract where it had blocked and we needed to catheterize him to remove whatever it was that had blocked his urethra, after that incidenct he hasn't stopped urinating all over the house! He also uses his litter box and so I don't know what to do to prevent him from going anywhere but his box!
He's not stressed out and his diet and activity level are all good.
How can I train him to use his box only??
Any info would be greatly appreciated!

It always barks when I'm doing something in my yard and I will slowly aproach it and kneel down so it can smell me a little and get use to me. But it always barks or barks and runs away. I can take it for walks or play with it in my neighbors yard and it doesnt bark. what can i do to become good friends with it, cuz its a cool dog.

C.B. will squat in the yard for minutes at a time without any result. She will move from one spot in the yard to the other, hoping this will help her situation. Have any of you experienced this with your cat. Is this a sign of constipation or is she having problems urinating? How have you handled this?
