Sounds like you're talking about mermaids, beautiful singing women on top, fish on the bottom.
Columbus reported seeing Mermaids in the Carribean, but Captain Cook found only manatees there.
Granted, the manatees do sing beautifully, and they do have breasts and a tail fin, but they are far from beautiful, at least as far as human standards are applied to our own women. Some have suggested that the manatees made as good a partner as a sheep, and that certain among the crews of ships would gladly satisfy their lusts with them... but that's just gross.
As far as real mermaids, there have been a few eyewitness reports, but since the age of cameras, these have become rarer and rarer, and no photographic evidence has been obtained... except for obvious hoaxes. So, if there are mermaids, they are probably rarer than say... the Loch Ness Monster, where unclear, but apparently real photographs of SOMETHING occasionally crop up. perhaps also, mermaids may not be nearly as human as we normally believe them to be.

It's real name is Mermaid.
I think you are too young as these creatures are fairy tail characters.
In the ancient times man was not knowing much about the sea. when they saw the seals in the sea they considered them half man and half fish but it was not true because seal is a aquatic mammal.
OK.bye.

Actually in indian folk belief a jalpari is a water spirit who compels men to cohabit with her, although she may also kill them when she catches them. And no they don't exsist, at least I don't believe they do.
