i have a famale pub dog. it is blinde of the right eye. acording with one of the resent vet i should let her to remove the eye. she said it has high pressure in the eye and tha eventualy it might pop out. i do not want that . i'm looking for a second opinion to see if there is remedy to help my dog not loose it eye.

I am planning on moving soon I have what seems to be a husky/malamute mix, tho I have seen plenty of housing agenceys that have a breed restriction on huskys.... Can any 1 direct me to a k9 breed specialist? So I can get a certifacation on the breed of my dog for furture refrence ... I have looked online, and serched for it but can't seem to come up w/any thing useful.. for doucmation of excatly what breed(s) my dog is.. (also if possible in the Indianapolis, Indiana area)

It seems that there are many choices when it comes to bedding/litter. Aspen bedding, pine shavings, cedar shavings, corn cob, wood chips, clay, Pelleted Pine Bedding, CareFresh...but what is best for a baby hedgehog? Does an adult need something differant?

i've been thinking lately to get a box turtle for a pet. they arn't as boreing as people think, at least box turtles arn't, they can be in the backyard in a pen, and be called by name and even play games like a dog, however im having problems finding an easter box turtle, so im startign to get disscuraged after all this time of trying to find a reasonably priced, and in my location easter box turtle, as well as figureing out and building the pen. its alot of work, so im just curious as to who thinks i should go ahead and get it.

My mom says her cat(2 yr old male) has an unusual spot on his fur that looks like something sticky(almost like hairspray)got on it now it's stiff.He is very healthy,eats well,plays,makes lots of noise.She's just concerned cause she already cleaned it off him once,now it's back.Is there anything it could be or she should do for him?

My mother found a wild rabbit at somewhere in the woods. She brought him home. We are not sure if hes dying or what excatly is wrong with him? He is very weakness. He couldnt run, move, walk, or anything else. I tried my best to feed him with the water and rabbit food. He tried his best tho. since we cannot afford to send him to the vet. The poor little guy just fell from a bunk bed and now he's dragging one hind leg with a little blood on it (and chewing at it when he's awake). I did not see the accident happen, but I think he would have fallen onto fairly thick carpet below, or he'd likely be injured worse. He seems okay otherwise, as far as I can see, but I'm not a vet, and have only had the hamster a day. The vet's offices and pet store are closed for the long weekend (which just started). Does anyone know FROM EXPERIENCE the best way to deal with this? Links to articles would be helpful, too. I'm not having much luck finding anything to helpful online. Are there painkillers for hamsters? Should I splint it? Solutions to help it heal properly?
What do I watch for? Etc.....

We are all terribly distraught about this (especially the youngster that made the mistake) and are reconsidering even owning a pet since even a hamster can cause this much sadness upon injury! Help for sadness???
