Can any 1 direct me to a k9 breed specialist? So I can get a certifacation on the breed of my dog for furture refrence ... I have looked online, and serched for it but can't seem to come up w/any thing useful.. for doucmation of excatly what breed(s) my dog is.. (also if possible in the Indianapolis, Indiana area)

Ask your vet to write up a document of what he suspects your dogs' breed is. That should be considered sufficient proof from an animal expert. You could also get one from an animal trainer as to it's temperament.

Just list it as a large mixed breed.

The breed restriction list is generally based on temperment, or at least the worse case scenario temperment, of each breed. Since your dog is a mix, it can't be considered in danger of having a husky temperment, and therefore there's no reason to list it as part husky on your application.

There is probably nowhere to get a 'certificate' saying your dog is or isn't a certain breed. Just call it large, and leave it at that.

He is a husky mix. I have work in rescue and animal control. Also worked for a vet in the 70-80s. There is no way you can say he is any but. I would just say he is a mutt.

Where did you get your dog? Try to retrace the dog's history. Try to find out where and when he was bred and born. See if you can connect with someone who might know who the sire and the dam is. You might get lucky and find some of his littermates.
It won't be easy. It's like police work. However, you might get the answer you seek, and you might meet some nice people along the way.
Good luck.

Google it! JK. if u think that your dog is a mix then it could be impossible it tell if he is a husky or not. if any one asks u what breed, just say "mixed". Which is totally true. who knows maybe there is Dachund in there.

Try looking on the American Kennel Association page. There are breed descriptions etc.
