My lab retriever had a small piece of pigs ear chew today and now he is in distress, like wimpering if he moves alittle toward one side or the other.... He walks okay but doses not act all bouncy like usual... What can I do to aid his passing of the thing he swallowed?

I got a 6 year old boston terrier and 3 days ago when I came home from work he started vomitting bad. I took him to the emergency vet and they diagnose him with gastritis? My family vet prescribed a bland diet and some pepsid medicine.

He seemed to be doing better the last few days. Today I had some guest over (for the holiday). My dog got excited at the activity and now he's back vomitting like crazy again. He's still on his bland diet and I know he didnt eat wrong. First he vomits the food I fed him, then yellow gooey stuff, now white foamy vomit. Besides the vomitting and the urge to vomit, he's been eating and defecating normally.

His stomach looks much more shrunken than before too, but the vet didn't have much of an opinion when i told him about it. I take my dog to get his shots regularly but my personal feelings about vets are they don't know what they're doing.
Anyone got any opinions?

I just got a young (approximately 1 y/o) female F4 (fourth generation removed from the Asian Leopard Cat) Bengal cat two days ago. She has been adjusting remarkably, and is especially enjoying walks outside on her leash. I took her to the vet today for a checkup, and she got the clean bill of health.

But I decided to leave her alone for a few hours because she seemed content. I left her at 6:00pm, and checked on her at 9:00pm. When I came in, I found her under the bed (she's taken it up as her hiding place, and comes out whenever called), but then she started gagging, like a hairball was stuck or something. I picked her up, and put her on the hardwood floor. She vomited. It was full liquid (no hair, no chunks), and mostly clear, but obviously vomit. Decided to keep a better eye on her. Came back after half an hour, and there was more on the carpet. And again at 10. She is acting a little nervous, but otherwise fine.

Is it just her being nervous?

my puppy is 11 months old. i could not house train him, he ate everything in my house. he got loose into my infant's diapers one night (outside) and spread the diapers all over my yard and both my neighbors. he jumps on me and tries to bite me (im the one that feeds him and takes care of him) he attacks my 3 legged cat whenever he can, hes eaten over 250 dollars worth of goods/appliances in my house, he scratches my child instead of licking, he is a mix of a pitt bull and a min pin. he is sweet in nature, i know he means well, but he is such a hassle for me. ive had to put him on a lead because he digs 2-3 foot holes in the yard. im used to labs, being all sweet and loving. is it just me not being used to other breeds, or is this dog really just too much? I know he is a puppy, but i got him for free and hes destroyed over 200% of his worth in my home. hes not worth keeping in my eyes but my husband loves puppies. how can i talk him into getting another breed?

i have a 4 year old boxer and she thinks she needs to fight every thing she can, from my borthers shoes to any guys that want to talk to me on the street. shes had a ruff life and we thinks she has been abusded. we're starting to think they tryed to us her for fighting. in a month me and her are moving out of my moms place in to a place where my guy will come over all the time and i'm worred aobut him and her what should i do?

Personally I think that it is better to adopt from a shelter because not only do you get the stisfaction knowing you saved his or her's life but you get a loving furry family member in the process.

Hi ppl how r ya? Well, i own a yellow parakeet and since a couple of weeks i have noticed that my Parakeet's leg is broken and it doesn't stand straight but leans 2 only one side. It looks as if it were to die or something. When my bird tries to drink water or eat it goes down the cage by its beak. I feel really bad 4 her but my mother n I do not have the money to take her to a veterinarian and last time my grandmother tried to fix it by holdin her and puttiin vicks on her leg but i think all she did was make it worse.. My wife and I LOVE our 4 year old German Shephard Barbie, but we have a problem...a few really..we trained her ourselves and for the most part..she is excellent..she'll lick you to tell you she has to go...but she won't go in the back yard..you have to walk her..I walk her 3 times a day..When I lived in Washington DC..we took her to the park because we didn't have a backyard...so Barbie is used to that...due to anal retentive leash laws in CA, neither Barbie or we are very impressed. I am in the military and we move around..and we found out 2 mos. ago that my wife is Pregnant with our second child..Our first is still 18 months old..so with 2 car seats and a sedan and mom and dad...you can see how a dog in the mix, walks and a new mom who might have a c-section here in Dec..makes having a dog VERY tough..we don't want to give her away...but we feel there is nothing better to do...we don't want to give her back to the pound..in 6 mos they can euthanize, time and money are limited,HELP
