We went outside to check on LIL BIT and noticed she wasn't hardly breathing. So we brought her in thinking she was overheated. But she wasn't. She is acting very strangley. She walks around the living room all the time, dont eat or fecate. She drinks very little liquid eats no solid food. She howls, pants, her nose is running. She hardly sleeps at all.

i have two hampsters .... they need names, i have had them for a week. one is dark grey, no other distinctive markings, quite active and lets me pick him up easily. the other hampster is light brown and white, it is less active than the other one, and doesnt like me to pick it up as much. they both like to ride the wheel that is in their cage, in fact they ride it together sometimes. they both have a stubby little tail and are cute as a critter like that could be.

My kitty was playing w/ a ball of yarn which he unravelled and he swallowed some....I know this because he was coughing and I saw some hanging out of his mouth but before I could pull it out it went back down his throat...He's been sick since by laying around and just not acting himself...he does drink a little and eat a little..if you been through this before, what should I do? I did give him some kitty laxative...He is almost two years old...The vet, over the phone wouldn't tell me what I should do...I can't afford to bring him in right now....Please help me....I want him to get better,,,thanks!

Hi I was wondering what brand/type of cat litter everyone uses? I have been useing fresh step, but everytime i clean hte litter box -I use half a box of fresh step litter. Is there any cheaper litter that is just as effective? I find that tidy cat stinks really bad, and burns my nose. Thanks everyone

About a year and a half ago I had a beautiful all black 9 month old cat get really sick and eventually die from FIP. It was devastating. Two months later I was ready to get another pet and found this all black cat at the shelter that had the same eyes as the cat that died. He was 1 1/2 years old. A couple weeks ago he became lethargic and then within the last week stopped getting up to eat. We took him to the vet and they took out 170ml of fluid from around his lungs and found that his tonsils were swallon. Some lab results revealed that it may once again be FIP. He's gotten skinny, I keep trying to offer him a variety of foods and sometimes he laps some of it up, sometimes he doesn't. He's on 5mg of prednisolone 2x/day. He meows like he wants the food (liquid) when we bring it to him but then doesn't eat. I don't know if I should put him to sleep yet or not, part of me doesn't feel he's really sick enough, and part of me doesn't want him to get worse. I hate to see him uncomfortable.

my cat eats about 1.5 times as much as the recommended amount. he clearly eats plenty, but weighs only 5.5 lbs at age 17 and consistently drops weight, about 1.5 lbs weight loss every 3 wks. i will take him 2 a vet, so im not looking for that answer. im just wondering if anybodys could tell me a possible answer to the problem of wat is wrong with my cat?

I have a 10 gallon fish tank with 6 Zebra Danios and a male betta...

I vary their diet by having flakes and/or bloodworms every few days. I usually wake up and turn on the light and feed them a pinch of bloodworms or flakes. And if they eat all that up I add another pinch of food. I do the same at night...

How do I know if I am over feeding or under feeding my fish?

My puppy, Oscar, seems to think that inside is his potty place and outside in a place to play. I have rubbed his nose in it and swatted his butt, scolded him, and put him outside when he does it, HELP ME PLEASE!!!!! I don't know what to do.
