The Okeefenokee Swamp, on the border of Georgia/Florida.
There are a wild herd of sleestacks there, which interbreed occasionally with the Big Foot and the Skunk Apes. This usually produces what people call the Pig Man, because it's unique features are a perfect blend of Sleestacks and Skunk Apes. The Pig Man creatures are usually sterile, like mules. The Sleestacks can harvest alligators and fish and the swampy environment is suitable to their greenish complexion, because they are able to supplement their meat diets with swamp scum and algae. Contact Okeefenokee Joe - he will help locate your pet sleestack with minimal stress to it and the environment and will even introduce it to the wild herd personally!

They're pretty easy to get away from. They move pretty slow. Chaka never had any problems, but his two older brothers did. Holly always seemed to trip over something when running from sleestacks, so she made it a little more evenly matched.
