A Pitweiler?

2006-07-03 14:57:53 · answer #1 · answered by Redangel 2 · 0 1

A beautiful dog! I own a pitbull / rottie mix and she is awesome. She looks just like a pit but has the colours of a rottweiler. She is extremely lovable, LOVES to snuggle and is a very happy dog. She barks a lot at strangers but has never bitten anyone. She does have problems with seizures though which the vet didn't really do anything about! (not sure if it has to do with the breed) Overall she is a big baby and she's a Mommy's girl :) ***Note: A family member owned her for the first year of her life and was very mean and abusive to her (@sshole!) but even then she was still a good dog just very nervous for fear of being hit. ALL dogs behaviors are influenced by their owners and enviorment! Not all pits and rotties are mean dogs, people!

A very powerful dog, that will need a very assertive, human, pack leader. If you can't lead him, he will step up to the alpha position, and you could begin to have a lot of problems, if that happens. Good luck, try reading "Cesar's Way", by Cesar Milan, the dog whisperer.

one really stout dog. I like the mix of the dogs, would you dock their tails? Any idea what you would call them? Pittweilers or maybe Bullrots. They would have good size, intelligence, very loyal, they would be protective . they would need some one with dog handling experience not a novice dog owner.
