I just got a young (approximately 1 y/o) female F4 (fourth generation removed from the Asian Leopard Cat) Bengal cat two days ago. She has been adjusting remarkably, and is especially enjoying walks outside on her leash. I took her to the vet today for a checkup, and she got the clean bill of health.
But I decided to leave her alone for a few hours because she seemed content. I left her at 6:00pm, and checked on her at 9:00pm. When I came in, I found her under the bed (she's taken it up as her hiding place, and comes out whenever called), but then she started gagging, like a hairball was stuck or something. I picked her up, and put her on the hardwood floor. She vomited. It was full liquid (no hair, no chunks), and mostly clear, but obviously vomit. Decided to keep a better eye on her. Came back after half an hour, and there was more on the carpet. And again at 10. She is acting a little nervous, but otherwise fine.
Is it just her being nervous?

Also, she is eating and drinking fine, and is getting the exact same food she had in the last home (at least for now).

Probably the fireworks, but keep a close eye on her and try to get her to drink. You don't want her to get dehydrated.

It could be alot of things. Cats that are nervous will vomit. It could be she ate something, a bug in the house, got alot of dust from under the bed in her, even from eating grass. I would keep an eye on her and if she is not ok tomorrow, take her back to the vet. Did the vet do any blood work? Sometimes diabetic cats, if they don't eat on a schedule will vomit. I have a 2 year old who vomits clear fluid, sometimes yellowish. He's diabetic, long hair persian but if he is brushed well, fed every 4 hours something, eats only special food, in his case he also has a food allergy that didn't show up until 4 days into the big bag! He is allergic to corn gluten, so she could have a food allergy as well or have an undiagnosed illness. I feed my cat Football only One food for sensitive digestive tracts, or a special perisan furball food from Petsmart. I have 4 cats and have always had cats. She might have picked up a virus along the way either at the vets, enroute to you or being outside as well.
Give her water, maybe some dry food mushed up mixed with water or canned if you feed her that, and see how she does in the next 24 hours, with the holiday probably would be expensive to take her in. If she seems sicker, not eating at all or drinking, feels hot, listless, take her in. Start off with just a teaspoon of food later tonight and see how she does with that.

Caould be a lot of things - hair balls, nerves etc. Despite the fact Bengals (I have an F4 tri color Bengal named Loki) shed a lot less then some other breeds due to the drastic weather they still need to be brushed daily. My suggestion is a Zoom Groom - which you can get at any Petsmart / Petco. Don't be deceived by what it looks like - it's amazing.
If you have't yet taken her to the Vet for a check up - which you should do - should also be part of your contract - pleased do that and have her checked.
Be sure you are feeding the same as the breeder - at least until she settles in fully. Or have you chnaged her food already if so that could be part of the problem.

Usually when someone posts something like this I advise them to take their cat to the vet. However, you seem to be an experienced cat person and would probably have kitty in the car if you truly suspected that something was wrong.
One thing to take into consideration is the heat. My cat, The Blackest Cat, is usually energetic and curious, but during these dog days he is lethargic and unhappy. I'm not sure where you live, but is there any chance that it could be the heat and humidity?
Before anyone jumps at me for not cooling down The Black Cat. He has the option of coming into a room that is air-conditioned, but he'd rather be hot and miserable in the hallway where he can observe what's happening in the apartment. I'll never understand him.

I think your kitty might be a little nervous, she has had a busy two days, new home going to the vets, she probably stressed out.
Just keep an eye on her, she should be fine in a couple of days, just give her lots of loving.

My 9 year old cat was doing this when he had bowl cancer, it was stopping the food from going down. If the vomit is green yellow its not good. Take your cat to the vet and get a coloured x-ray to make sure she has no cancer.
Hope shes OK!

Sounds like what one of my cats did.Be careful.Make sure you wash your hands after you clean up.I developed a stomach disorder called H.Pylori and had to be put on meds.Try giving your cat a tablespoon of PeptoBismol for about a week. That should help.Ask your vet about it.Good Luck!♥

This is the time of year that your (and mine) cat will start shedding their winter coat...this is normal. If you cat will let you take time to brush it at least once a day until the bad fallout is over with...after that your cat won't vomit anymore...

ive had the same problem wiht my mainecoon cat..we'd leave him and hed throw up..actually it really didnt matter where we were, but i really could afford to take him to the vet just yet..as expensive as it is to take a cat to the vet, i had to try other things first..so i askeda vet tech, and she told me that it could be hairballs....so i went to petsmart..you should have it somewhere in your area, talked to one of the specialists there,a dn he showed me cat food for his specific breed. see in some breeds, they continuously groom!! after a week on this special cat food, bam! the puking was gone..the cat food, is however a tad pricey, but sooo worth it, i noticed tons of positive differences..less grooming, and shinier hair...so maybe trya new food!

I would say her diet. I think she is just adjusting. My cat did this when he first came to us but eventually it got better. Ask your vet and see what they say.

She could be home sick, eating bad food,or eating SOMETHING.Do you see her eat grass? If so,this throwing up thing is natural.Cats AND dogs eat grass and later throw it all up.It helps get hair out that they might have swallowed when bathing.
