Fox hounds are one of my favorite dog breeds. Has anyone ever owned one, if so how'd you like it?

My dog is adopted and he was abused. he gets a little better but he is a beagle and everything seems loud to him so if anything moves or makes weird noises he is scared. and new objects just sitting somewhere including new ppl. He wont take treats either. just backs away and hides in the farthest corner. plz help him. what should i do. he wont even come to me when he is scared and he wont leave my side. tends to attach to a couple ppl only.

My dog buddy is a normal good dog . I give her a bath 2 times a week and let her go 4 a swim. Every day I re-filter the pool and make shure their is nothing in the pool. A-round the pool is concreat and their is a big fence around it. The problem is my dog always comes straight out of the pool. I know because I watch her. Whene she comes in she is filthey. She has dirt in her hair and every thing. I took her to the vet and the vet said that her skin perdoses some kind of dirt. He told me it could kill her. What do I do. If she dies I just can't get another dog. Those of you that had lost a veary special animal you know how I feel. PLease I need some advice!!!

There are several cats that wander at night and they love to jump on my window screen and torment my cat. I feel so sorry for him and want to do all I can to help him.Plus we have a new baby in the house also.Could the cat be jealous of baby too???

i had 6 fish. now i have 5. my damsel attacked and bte off the tail of my other damsel, and it died. what do i do? i got rid of the one that was the murderer- but is there anything else i can do. and why did the fish attack the other one?

I have a golden reatriver and any time it gets into water the fur sort of turns black. I took her to the vet and they said she was normal. Whats your oppinion.

i amthinking about purchasing a reg qtr horse gelding he is 5yrs old and broke to ride and so foreth...i had went out and rode him and he seemed fine no limping no pain ..the owner of the horse did tell me that he had some swelling of the back leg just above the ankle (pastern) just on the inside of the leg but when i rode this horse he didnt show any signs of lamness..owner took horse to vet vet told him he had stretched his tendon and told him to cold and warm packs on it for a few weeks then graudually start working him out again...my question is if i buy this horse would he be ok to show in halter and pleasure events ..that was the intention on the purchase of this horse..for a young horse he is a joy to be around ...thank you
