Their color has nothing to do with it. Pekins are solid white. There are a couple "external" ways to sex a duck. For starters, females are the only ones that actually 'quack', whereas males have a soft, wraspy, whispery voice. The easiest way though, if the duck is mature, is to look for a curled feather on the top side of the tale. Only males will have what is called a drake feather in which 1-3 feathers actually curl up toward the ducks back instead of 'laying' flat with the other tail feathers.

if they are adults listen. The female (duck) QUACKS - the male (drake) has a lower monotone sound. Works on any color duck too...dont have to touch them or wait for eggs.

you really can't. if they are still babies you can check. but if they are big ol ducks you can't really tell until they start laying eggs.

normally it's in their color, but you can never be sure unless you pull the feathers.
