Shes in a 10x30' kennel (its her 1st &we dont want to breed her 1st heat WHY arnt the males comming around yet?(( OR WHEN WILL THEY? (not that Im holding my breath waiting for them) But when they do show Im moving her far away (temp) for a couple days..

I live in South Texas, and although I have access to all the red-eared sliders I could ever want, I want land turtles only.
Then, as they grow, I can make a pen for my back yard for them. But I want to start out with babies. I am an adult, and I have several pets that are well cared for.

During the Spring, in my shack where I write my manifestos, I had birds living in my dryer vent for awhile. I put hardware cloth over the vent to keep them out. My question is would you rather have your house burn down from the dryer overheating or would you like to live at peace with the birds?

Our one year old dog was given her first ever beef bone the other day (the kind you use for soup). For the next 10 minutes she would growl at us whenever we came too close. She has never growled at us before. Is this normal behaviour for a dog with a bone? Eventually she took it and went and laid under our bed with it. She is an indoor dog, so it's not like she can bury it. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Upon arriving to work this morning I found a lonely, emaciated, filthy kitten. Kitten looks to be about 8 weeks of age and is ALL skin and bones. Being the animal lover that I am I went right to the pet store and bought all the essentials. I bathed the kitten, gave it formula, food, water, and a bed. Its eyes are really goopy still, even after the bath. I made an appointment with the vet, but its not for 5 more days. What is the best treatment I can give this little survivor over the next few days until the vet?

i have recently got 2 rabbits as pets and but are unsure as wat else im aloud to feed them other than pellet mix and grass.
so as in fruit and veg is there anything they shouldnt have. we get a fruit n veg box and have left overs at the end of wk.
can they have apple- pears- strawberrys- ect i read somwhere they should not have iceberg lettuce why is this??

My husband was attacked by a pitbull this afternoon. I rushed him to the hospital and he has several stitches in his leg. The guy who owned the dog shot and killed it after it attacked my husband. Now the health department can not quarintine it to watch for rabies. Also when he shot it, he did so several times and one of the bullets went through the jaw, and if it hit the cranium, then the brain is damaged and they can not tell from examing the brain if it has rabies. It did not have any rabies shots, actually any shots for the other stuff besides rabies. Now what do we do? If they can't tell from the brain if it has rabies, my husband will have to go through that terrible series of rabies shots. Has anyone had to take them and are they are awful as we have heard. What do we do about the guy and his pitbull attacking my husband. My husband did nothing at all to provoke the dog. It just attacked for no reason.

i've tried to confine my puppy (a pomeranian) for the night so he doesn't pee everywhere, but he cries and barks, and the only way i can make him stop it's put him ti sleep on my bed with me, but then he pees on my bed. what should i do?
