My gerbil is looking something fierce. I clean her cage 2 times a week but it seems that she is brown now not white. I am a little scared to give her a bath, shes very sensative. any ideas?

I got her for free, she has no hair on her butt.

white gerbils can change colors as they grow from pure white to a light yellow, looking rough is a sign of possible illness. gerbils should keep them selve clean if they are in good health. consult a veterinarian for a check up and follow any suggestions they give you.
