I thought that was what this Iraq thing was all about in the first place?

I need some explanations, Bushies, because I don't see how you can reasonably support this war unless we find some WMDs.

WHERE ARE THEY, BUSHLOVERS????!!!!!!!!

We already have "Homegrown" terrorist. They are called "gangs". They are afraid to do anything by themselves, so they have their "homies" behind them. They are as bad as ANY terrorist. We should be spending the Iraq "war" money here at home getting rid of these SCUM and building that LARGE fence at the southern border!!!!!

My question is, should the US military stay in Iraq? Why should or shouldn't they stay there? What are the consequences of withdrawing? How many Iraqis, and how many US troops are already dead? Thanks for answering these questions!

Also, could you define, in your opinion, but realistically, what a win in Iraq is?

and are some people hypocritical about them? In the question above the person implies that people are breaking the rules but then goes on to insult people - therefore are THEY not breaking the rules?

Just been hearing about all the extra housing that this country (UK) needs, and the government is considering building on green-belt land to solve the problems.

Personally I am totally against this. The green-belt areas and countryside are places that this country is built on...its natural and wild areas. Its an escape for city dwellers and a proud back garden for people who live in the countryside. What was the point in creating green-belt areas if we are just going to build on them. Its greed and money because there are plenty of derelict building unused in London and i guess all over the country, lets use those spaces first.

What does everyone else think and does anyone know of any protest organisations who focus on these kinds of issues?

The 90s had the Ramseys. Rich family kills daughter and gets away with it.
Now we have the McCanns. Anyone notice anything familiar here?

Interesting to think about. Traditionally, the first lady's main job is to campaign for her husband. Once he is in office, she does public apperances and supports his views. Now, I have no doubt that most husbands would have no problem doing this if thier wife took office. But, why would Bill want to visit sick kids in the hospital while his wife is running the country? I mean, it seems like he's had his fill of public life. Do you think he'll make a good 'first gentleman'?

WARNING: THIS IS VERY LONG ....

This theory works off the basis that reports of a cadaver dog detecting a corpse is untrue. At the moment we don't have any confirmed reports about a corpse having been detected, so this is just a theory on the basis that it is untrue.

What if Gerry and Kate weren't involved at all, but it was one or more of the friends.

Which of the friends had an opportunity though? Reasonably it could only be down to Jane Tanner, her partner Russell O'Brien and Matthew Oldfield. They had left the table between the check at 9:05 by Gerry and the check at 10:00 by Kate.

Remember all 3 of these people KNEW that the patio door was open. They also all know the children. That means they knew if the child woke up while they picked them up the child was unlikely to scream since it was a familiar face to Madeleine. If they were 'spotted' inside the apartment, it wouldn't be suspicious at all since they were just 'checking' on the children.

How are the suicide bombings in Iraq the fault of George Bush? To me it just looks like it's the fault of tribal inbreeding and religious insanity.

I for one do not accept Mattel Chairman's apology for their recalled toys. Lead paint has been banned in Canada for many years. According to Mattel's Annual Report, safety is assured. I am appauled beyond belief at the severe repercussions Mattel's lack of quality control has had on the lives of our precious children. I would ask all who read this to boycott Mattel for life. Anything short of this is absolving them from the total irresponsibility they have shown in their disregard of selling toys under the name of a North American country which does not come close to meeting the saftey regulations of both Canada and the U.S. We families have bought their products for years, trusting that they will always guard the lives of our children. Quality control and safety testing should be their number one concern, and they have failed miserably. I would welcome feedback from any Canadian lawyer who would provide pro bono legal advice as to how to organize a Canadian class action suit.

I had to shorten the question to fit it in the headline

I see alot of people that dislike the President, and his approval rating sucks, yet whenever anyone bashes Bush on here, it seems like they get more thumbs down then others. Why is that? Are there really more people that like Bush then I think, or is the site just flooded with Christians?

Lead paint is hazardous and can be fatal, we all know. However, how many people died or even suffered because of the toys? Some of these toys have been out for months and millions have bought them yet we do not hear of anyone dying from lead poisoning or from swallowing magnets. Regardless, the media makes it seem as if entire states have been wiped out because these toys. What is even more embarrassing is the flagrant slandering of Chinese manufacturing. I find this very convenient considering the big talk that China is poised to overthrow the US as the world's most powerful economy. The issue is no longer that innocent children may die but that the Chinese are irresponsible and their products are sub-standard. This is a low blow coming from the US media and government.

I am not denying the hazard that these toys pose but the US media have cheaply piggy-backed on this issue and turned it into a huge propaganda against the Chinese.

What I'm trying to find out is if I am just more aware of what is going on across America and around the world, or if things have always been happening at breakneck speed and I just never paid attention.
I've always been inclined to think that 50 - 100 years ago, "things" were not this bad, but then again, information didn't travel as fast either. I'm interested in what other people think about this. Is our world truly getting worse minute by minute?
